A lump in my uterus has disappeared!

~ Deaconess Young-ae Shim (7-31 Parish; 3-2 Women's Mission) Beginning on September 1, 2006, there was a sharp pain in the lower abdomen and the period became irregular. A visit to a gynecologist's office discovered a lump whose width was 17.5 millimeters (about .7 inches) and following the biopsy, I began bleeding. The bleeding, which sometimes was in clots, began at 1 o'clock that afternoon and did not stop until the early hours of the following morning. The stunned doctor said that there was a possibility of uterine cancer and suggested that if the bleeding did not stop by the morning, I should go to a larger hospital. On September 2, twice I received by faith Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's "Prayer for the Sick" recorded on an automatic voice message system, and the bleeding stopped at 6 o'clock in the morning. After having bled for 17 straight hours, my face turned as pale as a sheet of paper. On Sunday, September 3, I went to the Senior Pastor's residence early in the morning, told him what had happened, and received his prayer. I immediately became joyful and my steps lighter; before receiving his prayer I had been unable to walk but afterwards, I was given strength in the legs and could start walking. On September 11, I underwent an exam at a hospital for uterine cancer and was told that the lump had disappeared and nothing abnormal could be detected. Hallelujah! After experiencing firsthand the love of my God and as I now lead a healthy life, I am carrying out my God-given duties as assistant cell leader and assistant group leader. My son Hyung-do, a yachtsman, gave glory to God when he placed second in "The 3rd National Yacht Racing" hosted by the Korea Shipowners' Association. The joy of having been healed of insomnia and neurogenic heart disease!

~ Deaconess Gwi-lye Kim (56, Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church) Having been tormented by insomnia from the time I was 17 years of age, I would go without any sleep for a week, 10 days, or even longer. My memory also suffered and I constantly felt lethargic from head to toe. When insomnia was coupled with neurogenic heart disease, I felt heavy in the chest. I tried anything and everything imaginable to be cured but it was all in vain. Then one day in April 2004, I read a copy of Manmin News that my daughter Yu-ra had brought home. In it were the reports of the wondrous works of God's power that healed all types of terminal and incurable diseases, injuries, and infirmities as manifested by the prayer of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. The following month, I visited Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church that is near my home. However, as there was no progress with my illness even as I was receiving grace from the messages, with no true faith my heart was soon engulfed in conflict. Then one day, Rev. Yeon-ok Jung, Pastor at Eastern Gwangju Manmin, visited me with a box of Korean pears, simply telling me that God had led her to pay me a visit. At that moment, I was deeply touched in the heart and I began to call Eastern Gwangju Manmin my "home church." As peace settled in my heart, I could begin to sleep little by little. Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages I heard via the live broadcast were sweeter than the honey from the comb. Then one day in 2005, I received the grace of rending my heart in repentance as I remembered having gone to see fortunetellers and practiced exorcism before believing in God. As I offered to Him an atonement offering and began destroying the wall of sin standing in my way to God, I began to suffer from insomnia less. In order to receive complete healing, I attended "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" every evening, fasted, and clung to God all the more desperately. Then I had an astounding experiencing as I attended the Church-wide Summer Retreat in August 2006. When I received Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer for the sick after his lecture, I felt a flow of electricity, which first gushed downward from my chest, envelop my body. The "flow" was so powerful that I even yelped. From that very night on, I could get a good night's sleep and the neurogenic heart disease that had always made my chest feel heavy, was gone completely. Hallelujah!

Rev. Chen Tsen Man from Taiwan experiences God's power Many of the visitors from Taiwan to Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul, Korea, in May 2007 received God's healing and had a taste of the spiritual world. One such notable example is Rev. Chen Tsen Man, Senior Pastor at Shin Hang Church and President of the West Coast Mission Center, who had arrived in Korean in a wheelchair but has returned home on foot. From the infantile paralysis suffered at the age of 2 and the traffic accident suffered 14 years ago, Rev. Chen Tsen Man had been using a cane to support herself and recently begun using a wheelchair due to the excruciating pain in her legs. Upon reading Dr. Jaerock Lee's published works and watching the DVD of "The 2006 New York Crusade with Dr. Jaerock Lee," Rev. Chen Tsen Man began longing for spiritual messages filled with life and works of God's power, and ended up visiting Manmin last month with the faith by which she believed she could be healed. After becoming filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving abundant grace from the Seminar, Rev. Chen Tsen Man had a marvelous experience during the second half of the Friday All-night Service that began on May 25. When Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed for the sick from the pulpit, Rev. Chen Tsen Man felt her feet shake and saw a bright light descending on them. The pain in her legs subsequently disappeared and she was given strength in her legs. She was able to stand up on her own without the need of a wheelchair and can now walk about for a long time. Hallelujah! As she has returned home on foot, we look forward to hearing many great things from her ministry in the future.

My life abounds with joy and blessings as I serve the hearing-impaired.

~ Deaconess Myong-hwa Chung (1-4 Women's Mission) Diligently learning sign language with a vision to serve God I saw how deaf-mutes at "The 2000 Nagoya Healing Festival with Dr. Jaerock Lee" received overflowing grace through the message delivered in sign language and became evidently touched in their heart. From that point on, with a vision to serve God, I began diligently learning sign language. In 2001, the Hearing-impaired Mission was launched at Manmin Joong-ang Church. I not only kept up my sign language studies with instructional videos on the Internet and books, but I also tried to expand my ability and increased my sign vocabulary by trying out sign language through frequent visits and purchases from deaf-mute street vendors. In a short while, I was able to minister to deaf-mutes and after receiving Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer, my sign language skills improved greatly to an extent that now I could simultaneously translate sermon messages. As I serve God and the church with this service, I am always aware and grateful of the precious gift of speech and the ability to hear. From this, I have also come to possess the heart by which I could love others. Teeming blessings from the service Up until two years ago, financial difficulty forced me to work. After vowing to commit everything to God and to strive even more for His kingdom, I quit my job and made every effort to my duties as district leader and to the hearing-impaired service. God then did His part right away. According to my faith, He blessed my husband's salary to increase three-, fourfold at a minimum, and to five-, six times at the most. Starting last year, I have been carrying out my God-given duty as sub-district leader and visiting the deaf-mute members of the church, and I often hear marvelous testimonies from them. What I do feel all the more rewarding when I hear the testimony of a deaf-mute couple, who say they become so thrilled and joyful whenever they hear the Senior Pastor's messages. Or when I heard from another person, who had been deaf-mute but says he could now hear after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer, I was so grateful I was on the verge of tears. What I do is very little but I could not be happier than the times I see deaf-mute members who meet with God, experience His power, and grow their faith. From hours and weeks of service, my sign language has become good enough for me to tutor it at Yeok-gok Eastern Women's Middle School once a month. My husband Deacon Hyung-yul Han is faithful to God with his duty as director of the Rainbow Chrous, and is very proud of what I do for God. Our son, perhaps having learned from my service, never hesitates to look after his peers at school who have been isolated by others. The sign language service has brought me overflowing joy and blessings to my life. Hallelujah! Beautiful Work of the Hearing-impaired Mission Launched in 2001 through the devotion of a number of sign language volunteers, the Hearing-impaired Mission (Rev. Soo-yeol Cho, Guidance Pastor) has ministered with diligence to deaf-mutes, held joint wedding ceremonies and honeymoons, summer retreats, "Welcome Parties," and provided beauty care services. The Mission has also offered legal and family counseling, simultaneous translation during worship services, and has paved a wider channel of communication between deaf-mute members and regular members at Manmin by holding sign language classes. With a vision to nurture workers through district revitalization and establishing a disabled-persons district, the Mission is planning to invite other deaf-mute churches and organizations in financial difficulty to its summer retreat this year. Over the years many people at Manmin have received their hearing after receiving prayer from Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. Through the beautiful work of the Hearing-impaired Mission we expect many more deaf-mute brothers and sisters to gain and lead new lives by having their hearing restored through the experiencing of God's power. The sign language translation is offered during every worship service at Manmin Joong-ang Church.

I'm grateful to have experienced the power of the Living God.

~ Deacon Sae-young Oh (Gongju Manmin Church) On March 30, 2007, there was a sharp pain on the left side of my body. At first, I thought nothing of it but the pain lasted for the next three days. An evaluation at the hospital revealed that I could be suffering from either pneumonia or pulmonary tuberculosis and the doctor advised that I be tested again in a week's time. However, as I had seen many times the works of God's power manifested through the prayers of Dr. Jaerock Lee, I was given the faith by which I desired to be healed by God and with His Word I began examining myself and my life in Christ. I attended all kinds of worship services and prayer meetings and beseeched God. I soon remembered how I had not given God the whole tithes and how I had grumbled against my family and failed to serve them, and I repented of my wrongdoings. As I drank the Muan Sweet Water of God's power (Exodus 15:25) and received the Senior Pastor's prayer during the satellite broadcast of worship services, the pain began to subside. Then on Sunday, April 15, on the sixth anniversary of Gongju Manmin Church (Rev. Jin-bum Suh, Pastor), Pastor Heesun Lee came to my church as guest speaker and prayed for the sick with the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12). After that, I became even more certain of God's healing. The next day, I underwent another evaluation at the hospital and found that everything had returned to normal. As I am now able to run about freely, I give all thanks and glory to my Father God for allowing me to experience the power of the living God. After giving birth to goodness and love in my life, I can now see

~ Min-gu Kang (1-1 Parish; Sub-district Leader, 1-3 Men's Mission) In anguish from discord at home After marrying my wife Deaconess Mi-jin Choe in 1999, we had many troubles and arguments from early on in our marriage stemming from the differences in personality, including her preference to have things neat and tidy in contrast to my clumsiness, her desire to experience emotional love compared to my indifference, and even our different sleeping patterns. My wife eventually ended up suffering from insomnia and depression and losing 7 kilograms (about 15.4 pounds) and we even contemplated divorce. We were not able to go through that, however, and continued to live together in mutual indifference towards each other. My wife, who desperately sought to live in faith in God, attended a variety of worship services and began a prayer life. I, on the other hand, was going to church reluctantly and when things came up, I did not think too much of missing church on the Lord's Day. When I quit my job, which hadn't been paying me all that well anyway, I became wholly dependent on my wife. Indecisive, lazy, and anything but resolved, there was little I could do with my own might. Discovering and transforming myself while taking care of weak souls I was unable to go to church one Sunday in February 2006 from cold-induced fatigue and a couple of members of the church soon paid me a visit soon afterwards. When 1 Men's Mission Assistant United Mission Leader Deacon Kyung-suk Ko and Sub-district Leader Deacon Jae-dong Han visited me at home, I told them honestly that my faith had remained the same from 10 years ago. Then Deacon Han suggested, "If you come with us when we visit other members, your life in Christ will change. Let's try it for a year." I agreed to it unwittingly and began serving every Saturday as a driver when visiting weak souls. An opportunity through which I discovered myself came to pass. I visited many a married couple who for years used different bedrooms, who for years stayed together in marriage because they had no other choice. I began asking myself, 'Is that what I look like? Have I been a faithful and trustworthy spouse to my wife?' As I thus looked back at and examined myself, I was grateful for my wife who had stood by me for a long time. Unceasing laughter at home upon realizing the importance of my wife When I visited a weak member whose home was quite messy, I felt the importance of my wife who usually kept our home neat and tidy, and who ran our household very efficiently. When I thanked her and apologized to her for not having been much of help in and around the house, I could tell her ill feelings were beginning to dissipate and her heart was touched. My wife rejoiced as I now got up on my own on Sundays without her intervention since I was entrusted with bringing to church a fellow member. As I spoke with my wife about a weak soul who had not come to church for over 10 years and others like him, there were now less conflicts and confrontations between us. As we created such a joyous and peaceful family, I came to trust and love my wife all the more and developed a habit of seeking her opinions in making decisions big and small. In the middle of April 2006, I met as usual with Deacon Kyung-tae Noh during a Saturday afternoon session of visiting church members. On that day, Deacon Noh, president of an insurance company, asked me if I would be interested in working in the insurance industry. I came home and discussed the proposal with my wife, who in turn told and encouraged me, "I know that business is a place of God's blessing from Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's interest and prayer. You can also keep the Lord's Day holy. Why don't you give it a try?" Thus, I began a career in the insurance industry. Adjusting to a new workplace, living by faith As I was passive and introvert, however, I was shown the door many times even before I could begin introducing the services my company offered. I had not had a sale even after a month of working there. One day, I went into a municipal office where I was received so coldly by its manager that in shame I couldn't keep my head up. I thought to myself, 'I cannot do this. I am not fit for this kind of work and have not even had a single sale. I'll go back to the office and tell them I'm quitting.' Then I caught in the corner of my eye one of the clerks in the municipal office and got the sudden urge to go up and speak with him. Soon after I began introducing the services, he said he would like to sign up for them. To plant a seed of confidence in my heart, God had moved that clerk's heart. I found out later that when I began working as an insurance sales agent, my wife had received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer so that I would adjust well to a new line of work. After this experience, I began to believe that if God took charge, I could do anything. I prayed, asking God to send me clients. I began each working day after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer recorded on a telephone voice recording system. Once a month, the rest of the employees and I sowed offerings and received the Senior Pastor's prayer for blessing. I soon had wondrous experiences as people and places work I would've never expected signed contracts with me. People who had called earlier to cancel their policies called back, saying that they could trust me and wanted to keep the policies. Financial blessings as well as spiritual prosperity Ten months after I started working in the insurance industry amidst God's blessings, I now give Him over $1,100 a month in tithes. Looking back, I am certain God was pleased with the devotion of my wife who did her very best in giving God mission offerings every month and increased the tithes by faith. I am also grateful for His blessings as, from the position of Group Manager, He has elevated me to the position of Mission Sub-district Leader this year after my faithfulness in visiting weak souls on Saturdays and Sundays. I give all thanks and glory to God and would also like to express my sincerest gratitude to Dr. Jaerock Lee for his heartfelt prayer.

I've been healed of acute hepatitis A!

~ Mi-ae Kim (3 Young Adults' Mission) On March 1 of this year, I came down with high fever and vomiting. In the following 3-4 days, I lost 4 kilograms (about 9 pounds) and my body grew rapidly weak. As I threw up whatever I ate, I didn't want to even smell any food. On March 6, I went to a nearby hospital for a blood test and the following day, the doctor there wrote me a referral and urged me to go to a larger hospital. On March 8, I went to Chung-ang University Medical Center and underwent another exam, which revealed that I was diagnosed with acute hepatitis A, that liver level was 50 times higher (1,900) than the average level (0~40), and that my body was showing signs of jaundice. I wondered, "Why has this disease found me?" I soon realized that I had not worshipped God in spirit and in truth and that I had failed to pray from the heart. I repented of my wrongdoings and on Sunday, March 11, I received handkerchief prayer (Acts 19:11-12) from Rev. Mi-kyung Lee, general guidance pastor of the Youth Mission. Anxiety I had been feeling for days disappeared as peace settled in my heart, and I became convinced that I'd been healed. Quite wondrously, I could eat the kind of food I had been unable and unwilling to have. I could also tell that I had no trouble with digestion either. An examination on my next visit to the hospital the following day revealed that the liver level had dropped back to the normal level of 40 and jaundice had also disappeared. The doctor said he had never witnessed anything quite like it and was stunned by the speed of improvement in my condition. I was back at work by Monday, March 19. I underwent another examination on April 20 and was told that everything, including my liver, was functioning normally and there was no sign of jaundice. Hallelujah! Where else shall I go when the message of eternal life are here?

~ Deaconess Kiyoko Tsuzuku (President, Women's Mission, Tokyo Tabata Manmin Church) Amidst a desperate life in Christ Born in the city of Ida in Nagano Pref, I was baptized at an early age but I had lukewarm faith and I went to church sporadically. After marrying my husband, our daughter Naoko began attending church during her grade school years after she had been preached the gospel by one of her friends and when she invited me to one of the Bible Study sessions, I also began attending church. However, I could not obtain clear answers from the Bible Study pastor whether or not all I needed was to be baptized in order to go to heaven or about Jesus, the Millennium, and how to receive the Holy Spirit. After moving from Ida to Tokyo in 1999, I desired with all my heart to meet a pastor who loved God and correctly taught Scripture the way the apostle Paul had done. Led to Tokyo Tabata Manmin Church Then in March 2003, an old friend introduced me to Rev. Isao Kato, Senior Pastor at Beppu Manmin Church. Rev. Isao Kato told me about how his life turned upside down and how he is now leading a life filled with bliss after meeting with Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor at Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul, Korea, and shared with me the news of Rev. Dr. Lee's messages of life and manifestations of God's power. At his urging, I visited Tokyo Tabata Manmin Church. I soon became convinced that I was finally at the church I had long sought. Experiencing true bliss through Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages About three weeks after I began attending Tokyo Tabata Manmin Church, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee visited me in my dream one night. After that, joy overflowed in my life as all I wanted to do was smile. Even when trials of faith came my way, I could overcome them as I remained filled with the Holy Spirit. I lived about an hour away from the church at the time but, after finally discovering a church that so clearly and thoroughly explained all the questions I had had about the Bible, I had no reason to hesitate attending not only the worship services on Sundays but also the Friday All-night Service, the Wednesday Evening Service, and the Daniel Prayer Meeting. Layman Missionary Jang-suk Ahn and his wife Eun-soo Ha helped me with great diligence and devotion nurture my faith by teaching me Dr. Jaerock Lee's message series including "The Message of the Cross," "The Beatitudes," "The Nine Fruit of the Holy Spirit," "The Ten Plagues," "The Ten Commandments," "Spiritual Love as Defined in 1 Corinthians 13," "Five Levels of Faith," and "The World of Evil Spirits." I cannot adequately describe with words how joyful and thankful I was when I heard the messages on "The Ten Plagues" and finally realized why I had faced in my life all sorts of difficulties big and small, and how I was to plan the rest of my life. I also felt like I could soar into the heavens as I participated in simultaneous broadcasts of worship services signaled from Korea and received thorough explanations on "Lectures on Genesis" and "Lectures on Leviticus," both books about which I had always been very curious. Experiencing God's power with handkerchief prayer and Muan Sweet Water ~ With Sunday School students Furthermore, news of the lengthening of shorter legs or the healings of such incurable diseases as cancer, against which the most modern and advanced medicine is utterly powerless, by Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer only served to plant greater seeds of faith in my heart. Then one day, I slipped down there was tremendous pain in my ankle. When Rev. Kyungtae Jung, Pastor at Tokyo Tabata Manmin prayed for me with the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12), the pain went away immediately and my ankle returned to its normal state. Hallelujah! When shingles developed in my right eye, on one side of my nose and mouth, and inside my ears in May 2006, the only way I could deal with the pain was by biting on my teeth. Then one night, unable to withstand the pain, I applied a piece of cotton swab drenched in the Muan Sweet Water (Exodus 15:25) inside my ears and I was marvelously healed within two days. I had heard that someone who was suffering from shingles received medical treatment but his face had only ended up turning numb. I, on the other hand, had been completely cleaned without any scars remaining. Desiring to see the gospel of sanctification spread all across Japan With the message of life on my side, I am making every effort today to keep discovering myself and wholly accomplish the kind of heart with which Father God is pleased. The Lord has met with me after I came out of a long and dark tunnel, has given me joy and peace, and has covered me in His light. I desire to see countless brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as countless pastors and ministers, all over Japan to hear and be transformed by the precious gospel of sanctification. I give all thanks and glory to God and I would also like to convey the sincerest gratitude to Dr. Jaerock Lee for always leading my life with his messages of life.

My life overflows with joy as I've lived only by God's Word.

~ Deacon Kyung-joon Paik (Sub-district Leader, 2-1 Men's Mission; Division Leader @ Bang-bae dong Branch, Kukmin Bank) During my youth, I grew up as a bright student with great interest and expectations. When my father collapsed suddenly from hypertension and as my mother had to look after the family, I had no choice but give up my plans to go to college. After graduating from high school in 1986, I began working at a bank and helping out in the family. I enrolled at a night school and spent much of my late twenties and early thirties Coming across the messages of life amidst spiritual thirst Then I met and married my wife Deaconess Jung-sook Ahn and began a life in Christ but without any conviction of salvation, I was suffering from extreme spiritual thirst. At the introduction of my sister Deaconess Jung-soon Ahn, I attended "The Special Two-week Revival Meeting with Dr. Jaerock Lee" in May 1997 and after receiving grace from the Meeting, I started visiting Manmin Joong-ang Church every week for Friday All-night Service as well as Sunday Morning and Evening Services. I can say without any hesitation that I had never heard the kind of life-filled and empowering messages such as those proclaimed by Dr. Jaerock Lee on "The Message of the Cross," "Lectures on 'The Book of John,'" and "Lectures on Proverbs." Dr. Lee's messages on heaven unraveled and answered for me all the mysterious questions I had previously had. As I purchased Dr. Lee's books and messages on cassette tapes, I became certain that Manmin was the church I had been looking for. I joined it in November 1997. Cultivating faithfulness in love for God While diligently serving the church as members of the church's Bank Mission & Finance Committee, a Korean broadcasting company aired a biased report on Manmin Joong-ang Church. To spread the truth, I distributed copies of Manmin News and other Christian newspapers to passers-by on busy streets and passengers on subways during rush hours. To set myself as an example and to emanate the aroma of Christ, I came to work earlier than my workers to tidy up the office, made sure I greeted my colleagues first, and always spoke politely to them. When new employees had difficulty in getting their tasks done, I willingly volunteered to help them out. Even in dealing with the most difficult of customers, I always made sure to smile and assisted and served them from the depths of my heart. God saw my deeds and blessed me at work and at home accordingly. Overflowing joy When mergers and reorganization brought about the threat of honorary retirement regardless of the duties, I never once received a notice of dismissal. During seasons in which I had to sell a variety of financial products and services, I began each season by receiving prayer from the Senior Pastor and God blessed me to have an outstanding showing. On one occasion, even though it did not involve my client, I assisted a customer swiftly and accurately. Afterwards, God led the customer, who said she had taken notice of my polite and speedy service, to deposit through me a large amount of money, which in turn led the branch as a whole to receive a very nice incentive. On account of this, at the end of Year 2006 our branch placed first in overall achievements at the Headquarters of the Kukmin Bank Southern Region and I was personally given the Meritorious Award in the Trust Category. Two years ago, I was sent abroad for extensive studies and last year, I was rewarded one more chance for extensive studies under the support of the Korea Federation of Banks. As God has also blessed my family, my son Gwang-lim and his younger sister Hye-soo share a very close relationship, are commended by their teachers at school, and loved by their peers while my wife Deaconess Jung-sook Ahn is accomplishing God's kingdom and His righteousness as she prays fervently for the church and the Senior Pastor. For all of these, I could not be more grateful. I give all thanks and glory to God and our Lord Jesus Christ and express my gratitude to Senior Pastor for being a guide in my Christian life with his messages.

I have been healed of depression by the time-and-space transcending prayer.

~ Wey Ran (Taiwan Manmin Church) For many nights in May 2004, I was unable to sleep from the stress at work and problems with my boyfriend. After being diagnosed with depression in early June, I was immediately overcome with frustration fear. Drug treatments were in vain as they only produced side effects and took away my ability to concentrate. I took sick leave from work but things got dramatically worse as I was now tormented by evil spirits. I also had difficulty in breathing and was carried to the emergency room on an ambulance a number of times. Doctors there, however, could not find or determine anything peculiar or worthy of concern. On top of all these, my life was thrown into an abyss of torment as the dizziness I had from which I had suffered for more than 20 years returned. Thoroughly repenting of not having lived by God's Word Upon realizing that the illness was not to be taken lightly, I sought the help of Rev. Kyung-hee Kim, Pastor at Taiwan Manmin Church, whom I had known before. Rev. Kim planted faith in my heart as she told me that I could be healed if I wholly trusted in God. Moving into Taiwan Manmin Church on July 18 and spending every day consumed in prayer, praise, and messages of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee, my life began to be transformed little by little. The Holy Spirit continuously showed and taught me about sin. For the first time in my life, I realized that I was to fight sin to the point of shedding my blood (Hebrews 12:4). I rent my heart in repentance as I sought God's forgiveness for having filed to live by His Word, including for my arrogance during my time as a newspaper reporter and not having been at peace with others while working at a general hospital. Experiencing God's time-and-space transcending power Then on September 17, Rev. Kim suggested that we mail my photograph to Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul and ask Dr. Jaerock Lee's time-and-space transcending prayer. So I sent in a photograph and the prayer request to Seoul from where Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed for me during the Friday All-night Service. Marvelously, from that very moment on, I no longer felt or suffered from any symptoms of depression, insomnia, the 20-plus-year dizziness, or the works of evil spirits. I have been healthy and faithful to God for the past two and a half years without any illnesses, and I have recently been promoted at my work. In gratitude of God's grace, I am currently serving the church and assisting Rev. Kim with translation and the printing of weekly church bulletins. I give all thanks and glory to God!

By faith I was able to get my bankrupt company on its feet again.

~ Deacon Byong-chul Lee (2-8 Parish; 2-3 Men's Mission; President, Sukji Trading Company) Dismal outlook on life with more than $645,000 in debt After graduating from college and while working at a clothing company, I married my wife Deaconess Hye-hyung Cho. As many newly wedded couples do, my wife and I both worked in hopes of enjoying a better life. Thinking that we could not really live comfortably by working for someone else, I quit my job and founded in 1999 Sukji Trading Company, a manufacturing supplier of children's clothes. Things seemed to be working out great in the beginning but the firm began to falter during and after the financial crisis that swept through Asia in the late 1990s. In 2003, the company ran a debt of over $210,000 when we could not receive the payment from a client, and when one of our main clients went bankrupt in 2004, our firm was left a debt in excess of $645,000. As pressure from subcontractors for the payments on the goods we'd received built up and expiration dates came and went on the promissory notes that had gone into the private money market, threats from moneylenders were relentless. On top of all that, I always feared for the safety of my family. Repenting of the past, devoting to a life of prayer Even in the midst of such dismal reality, my wife's word of encouragement provided strength and courage. "Honey," she said. "Let's overcome this trial of blessing by faith and in gratitude. Take courage!" We decided to cling to God and strove to call out to Him in prayer. After withdrawing the last $700 we had from all of our bank accounts and sowing it as a seed of faith, we told everything that had been going on in our lives to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and received his prayer. As he prayed earnestly for us, the Senior Pastor urged, "Do what you can to please Father God." Peace then immediately settled in our hearts. While praying early in the morning one day, tears began to trickle down my cheeks uncontrollably. Upon hearing that one of Korea's broadcasting companies broadcast a distorted report on Manmin Joong-ang Church in May 1999, I had stopped coming to church for about three months. I could return to Manmin in large part due to the love of my wife and family, but during the next four years I simply "went to" church. Once I realized how arrogant I had been as I abandoned the church and failed to live by God's Word despite His immeasurable grace and love, I could not help but rend my heart in repentance. In early 2005, I repented wholeheartedly with fasting. The only thing I could do, especially at a time when I felt as though it was me (and my business for that matter) against the whole world, was fervent prayer and each moment I could feel God's grace and how He was touching my heart. Hatred and grudge I held against those who had injured me disappeared as forgiveness, love, and faith began to blossom in my heart. Blessings at my business as my spirit prospered As my heart began to be transformed, blessings came my way little by little, as if a tangled bobbin were coming undone, beginning in the middle of 2005. Upon seeing my truthfulness, subcontractors who had been pressing me to pay them back willingly agreed to postpone the payments on the goods and even manufactured my company's products first. Moreover, evidently touched by my diligence and sincerity in making every effort to collect the payments on the dishonored bills to pay back the debt, moneylenders helped me get out of the colossal debt by turning over the necessary funds. God led each step of my way with people He had prepared for me in advance. Above all, however, He blessed and led my spirit to prosper. As I humbled myself in serving other church members and looked after with love the ones who found themselves in various types of difficulty, God blessed me with heavenly duties including sub-district leader, cell leader, and a member of the Financial Committee. Even when my company wasn't doing too well, I made sure to give God my very best and everything in Mission Offerings and sowing seeds of faith. After receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer in December 2006 for the increase in the volume orders for the 2007 summer clothing line, the volume more than tripled from the usual average of about $182,400 to $590,000. In the month of May 2007, I could give God more than $3,200 in tithes. In fact, God had known everything in advance and had prepared close to $110,000 needed in operating costs by the way of the National Trust Guarantee Funds. Flower of joy at home When I closed the subscription account and gave the amount as a Mission Offering for "The 2006 Men's Mission Devotional Service," God blessed my family to purchase an apartment close to the church for almost $43,000 cheaper than the market price. My children have also become subjects of envy from our neighbors as they had never suffered from any illness and have been good ever since first attending Manmin. Our oldest daughter Hyun-ji, a seventh-grader, especially had rough times adjusting to a new school and neighborhood when she transferred in the middle of her final year in grade school but after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer, she has since adapted well and quickly. Hyun-ji has also received numerous awards at composition, drawing, and reading competitions all the while placing first in her class academically. As my wife Deaconess Hye-hyung Cho, who always strengthens me with her prayer of love, is faithful to God as sub-district leader and looks after the less fortunate, joy in the Lord always abounds in our family. ~ Senior Deaconess Sun-soon Jung (Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church) In 2003, I assisted Rev. Yeon-ok Jung in founding Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church, a branch church of Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul. I had been praying in tears for the evangelization of my family, my sister-in-law who had been suffering from a psychiatric disorder, my oldest son who had been tormented by auditory hallucination, and my own mother Deaconess Moon-soon Suh, who had been inflicted by diseases of unknown cause and they all received healing thorugh the prayer of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. Through this series of events, all my family, including my younger sister Deaconess Sun-mi Jung, joined and led our lives in Christ at Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church. Contemplating ways to repay His grace After receiving such overflowing blessings, I began contemplating and praying for ways to recompense God's grace and realized that the shortcut to sanctification was found in spreading the news of God's power as manifested through Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and leading souls to salvation. I prayed to faithfully carry out my God-given duties as cell leader and bring revival, and I became more earnest and eager about evangelization through "The Seminar for Cell, Sub-district, and District Leaders" held on January 6, 2007. But then, when I actually set out to spread the Good News, I was not confident. "God, there is nothing I can do on my own. Whom am I to meet? What am I to say? Father, You take charge of everything." I began praying to God for each of my prayer requests item by item. Spreading the news of God's love and His power Then one day, I met with Deaconess Mi-sook Jeon, who had led a Christian life but since lost the first love and was now thirsting for God's Word. Praying everyday for Deaconess Jeon, I regularly gave her copies of Manmin Joong-ang News, invited her to my home and told her about the works of God's power taking place through Dr. Jaerock Lee. I also introduced to her such shows on the Global Christian Network (GCN) as "Power Praise" and the coverage of "The New York Crusade 2006 with Dr. Jaerock Lee" and other overseas crusades. I also listened attentively as Deaconess Jeon shared with me the troubles of life and tried to counsel her with the truth. She soon began attending worship services at Eastern Gwangju Manmin, which she joined after receiving grace from Dr. Lee's messages broadcast simultaneously via satellite. You have no idea how thrilled I was to see this happen! I was even more grateful because Deaconess Jeon not only found the first love she had lost but also had come to pray earnestly in tears for the salvation of so many souls with spiritual thirst. Then she introduced me to her neighbor Deaconess Bok-ja Shim, who had also lost her first love but, after she began listening to messages of Rev. Yeon-ok Jung, experienced the disappearance of the migraine caused by an abnormality in her cochlear duct. Through this series of events, her family and the family of her married daughter ended up joining Eastern Gwangju Manmin so that the number of families in my cell increased from three to six. Threefold revival Then Deaconess Jeon introduced the works of God's power taking place through Dr. Jaerock Lee to someone else, and that person ended up joining Eastern Gwangju Manmin after receiving grace from manifestations of God's power and Dr. Lee's messages on cassette tapes. After that, my cell members began praying more fervently and spread the Good News to our neighbors and relatives. In two and a half months, my cell experienced threefold revival and by April 1, the size of my cell increased to twelve families. Hallelujah! I am so grateful God has sent to me His prepared children. God has met with me through my older son's reactive attachment disorder.

~ Deacon Joon-sung Kim (South Ulsan Manmin Church; Chief, Department Pediatrics at Ulsan University Hospital) My older son's reactive attachment disorder In February 2003, I had my own medical practice in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province. My son Woo-jin, who had spoken so well before, stopped talking all of a sudden. I thought it was very odd and when I took him to the hospital to be evaluated, my family learned that Woo-jin was suffering from a type of autism called "reactive attachment disorder" (a mental disorder of infancy or early childhood, characterized by notably unusual and developmentally inappropriate social relatedness, usually associated with grossly pathological care). As a pediatrician, I was well aware of the condition and was devastated. I felt like the joyous family which I had pursued to build was falling apart and I was ready to do anything if it would lead Woo-jin to a complete recovery. Accepting the Lord Early in March 2003, while praying earnestly for our son, my wife remembered God's power manifested through Dr. Jaerock Lee at Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul she had attended in 1998. She looked for a Manmin branch church and joined Gwangju Manmin Church and, willing to try anything on which I could lay my hands, I began my Christian life with my wife. However, my wife had a duty at another church she had been attending so we attended only the Sunday Evening Services at Gwangju Manmin. Its pastor Hyung-ryul Park and members at Gwangju Manmin planted faith in our heart with stories of the works of God's healing through Dr. Jaerock Lee. Woo-jin's condition improved as our faith grew At the end of the month, my family made a trip to Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul to attend a special monthly prayer meeting for the sick and after hearing God's Word, my wife and I came to realize that the sickness of a child is mostly the result of the wrongdoings of his parents. We looked for Rev. Hyuk-hee Cho (1st Grand Parish Pastor) and received prayer from him with the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12). Now, would you believe if I tell you that Woo-jin began to speak the very next day? A week later, my wife and I received prayer from Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and when we received prayer from him again in May, Woo-jin, who had never danced before, received an award for "Excellent Dancing" at the Sunday School. We were certain his condition was improving. My wife and I nurtured our faith and received abundant grace from the Senior Pastor's sermon message series on cassette tapes, in books, and on the Internet, including "The Message of the Cross" and "The Lectures on Genesis." Overflowing blessings in spirit and in flesh In June 2004, the Senior Pastor visited Gwangju Manmin Church for "The United Holiness Church of Korea General Assembly & One-Day Revival Meeting." I received prayer from him because I wanted to work at Asan Medical Center in Seoul at which there was an excellent clinical process system but there was no opening at the time. Then in July, my family received an inexplicable grace of repentance. When a broadcasting company in Korea produced and aired a biased report on Manmin Joong-ang Church back in 1999, I had doubted the church for a while but I was now able to repent of that. Miraculous things came to pass afterwards. When I came home after attending "The Group Leaders' Seminar" which the Senior Pastor had conducted at the end of August, I had had a message from Asan Medical Center, asking if I could start working at its research center at the beginning of 2005. We also received the blessing of pregnancy with our second child for whom we had been for so long. Furthermore, after completing my research at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, I received the Senior Pastor's prayer to be appointed as professor at a medical school and God answered right away. In March 2006, I was appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor at Ulsan Medical School. Receiving prayer from the Senior Pastor from time to time, Woo-jin is now a bright second grader, as healthy as ever. Hallelujah! Seeking to become a physician testifying to God's power ~ WCDN members registering testimonies of healing at "The New York Crusade 2006" I attended "The World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) Conference" – an annual event that affirms the works of God's power with medicine – in Cebu, the Philippines, in June 2006. While preparing for materials to be presented at the Conference, I again became certain of the infallibility of the works of God's power manifested through Dr. Jaerock Lee and I was filled with joy and pride as I saw the heart of hundreds of physicians in attendance touched at the witnessing of the works of healing as manifested through the Senior Pastor. My faith was taken up to the next level after attending "The New York Crusade 2006 with Dr. Jaerock Lee" and witnessing firsthand the works of God's power unfolding my very own eyes. Then in September 2006, God promoted me as Assistant Professor at Ulsan University Medical School and in March 2007, He promoted me again to Chief of Pediatrics Department at Ulsan University Hospital. Atopic dermatitis has disappeared!

~ Eun-hye Kim (Sunday School; 5th Grade) Last December, atopic dermatitis developed from head to toe. It was especially severe around the neck and the legs; even when I moved my neck and legs, a part of the skin surface would scratch itself against another and start bleeding. The wounded skin became hardened and thickened. I was unable to turn my neck and had to be helped when walking. My mother and I spent many nights awake. She was unable to sleep because she had to prevent me from scratching myself and was in anguish to see me suffer. At times, it became so unbearable that I told her, "Mom! I want to go to heaven where I won't feel the itchiness!" Then I repented of having been angry in the Sanctuary and how I had chatted with my friends during worship services. After preparing for an offering with the allowances I had saved, I received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer on January 7, 2007 and miraculously the stiffness in my neck and legs subsided and the work of healing began to take place. During the Sunday School Special Performance on January 20, oozing was felt all over my face but I thought to myself, 'I'm going to give glory to God and receive His healing!' and gave my everything in praising. The very next day, the oozing stopped and new flesh began to form. I received the Senior Pastor's prayer again on February 11. My mother told me later that she had fasted for 3 days and repented of the disappointment she felt when I first fell ill. After all these events, my condition began to improve rapidly and by March 4, all traces of atopic dermatitis had disappeared. Hallelujah!

The Know-how of Blessings

~ Deaconess Sun-sook Choe (Courteous Service Instructor at We Can! Consulting Service Research Institute, Inc.) After first taking bold steps in 1996 as a courteous service instructor educating etiquette to employees at many different and sometimes large firms, I had been undergoing difficult times that stemmed from my superior's jealousy as well as my own guilty conscience. I was constantly snubbed in front of my coworkers when I presented my proposals to my superiors, who would often tell me, "Do it again." Compared to other instructors with their master's and doctorate degrees, my credentials looked embarrassingly dismal and I kept losing the will to work. I was to lead and instruct large crowds of people with confidence but, like a robot, I was absorbed only in presenting the prepared materials. In desperate search of true happiness My life was miserable and I was in constant and desperate search of "true happiness." For three months I sought out a congregation that could transform me by the Word but I could not find such a church or meet with God. Then in June 1998, I was introduced by one of my friends at work to the messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and the works of God's power taking place at Manmin Joong-ang Church. The moment I entered the Main Sanctuary, the burning sensation from the cross hanging above the altar captured me and my heart began to tremble. When I sat down, tears that began streaming down my cheeks lasted through my first service at Manmin. I was engulfed in indescribable warmth and felt as though I was in the arms of the Lord who was telling me, "I have been waiting for you." 'This is the place!' I told myself. I was certain God had led me to this church. Understanding "Message of the Cross," experiencing the work of God's power Faith was not a vague or abstract concept. The Senior Pastor's series "The Message of the Cross" became a turning point in my life. When I heard him explain answers to "Why is Jesus Our only Savior?" and "Why did He wear the crown of thorns?" I could only nod in agreement. At "The Two-week special Revival Meeting with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee" the following May, I saw Deacon Yoon-sup Kim, who had been tormented by first-degree disability, throwing away his crutches and beginning to walk after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer. This and the spectacles of so many others testifying to their own healing was a spiritual shock to me. Miracles of Biblical proportions were taking place right before my eyes! I soon became even more grateful as I saw Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee not merely preaching God's Word but living by it. Taking after him, I strove to live by the truth and a life filled with bliss began to unfold. "The instructor really looks happy." As I began to believe that God was actively involved with every affair of my life, my attitude towards work and other people changed. When preparing for lectures, I began to think of and putting greater emphasis on how to bring out happiness to others instead of simply struggling to offer them a means to success. As I sought wisdom from God in prayer, He would remind me of appropriate anecdotes or verses from the Bible. As if God were preventing the audience from seeing my weaknesses and shortcomings, my lectures soon became popular and critically acclaimed. I began to hear comments like, "The instructor indeed looks sincere" or "She really looks happy!" frequently. Some people said they would like to follow Jesus Christ the way I did. Others even shed tears, with their hearts evidently touched, during my lectures. As the contents of my lectures were closely related to His Word in the Bible and as I lectured with a heart to pursue goodness in all things and kept molding my heart to love and serve others, God poured love upon me. In gratitude of God's grace, I have been serving as emcee of a variety of Global Christian Network (GCN) programs and "Manmin Magazine" and as mission leader for the last two years. I couldn't be happier as my spirit prospers As I remained faithful with an unchanging heart and prayed my way out of problems during "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" every evening, God did His part in leading me to receive blessings through the Senior Pastor's prayer. Once I was troubled in the heart because I had not a single lecture scheduled for the following month. I received the Senior Pastor's prayer and the very next day, I was booked to lecture every day for the same following month. At another time, I was offered more than $15,000 to lecture. As I did my best in preparing and presenting my lectures and was deemed "passionate and thus trustworthy," different firms have called on me to lecture their employees multiple times. Until 3, 4 years ago, I could only give God tithes of about $200 a month but He has multiplied it by more than fourfold. Yet, financial blessings are only a small portion of all the grace God has given me. The reason why I can confess with confidence, "I am happy!" is not because of financial blessings but because of the peace and the hope I have in heaven for which I will not exchange with anything in this world. I hope to bring the true happiness of life to many people. I give all thanks and glory to God who is alive and always at work in my life.

I've been healed of ovarian cancer that had spread throughout the peritoneum.

~ Sonoko Kumagai (Ida Manmin Church, Japan) One day in July 2005, a pair of pants that had fit me pretty well in the past felt unusually tight. I realized my stomach had swollen and looked like I was ready to give birth. I was in pain from head to toe and was unable to eat. After losing 6 kilograms (more than 13 pounds) in a week, I went to see a doctor on August 5 and was stunned when I heard the diagnosis. "It's ovarian cancer. The cancer is over 5,000; it's really high." Repenting of the past I took a leave of absence from work and underwent an operation. Cancer had spread throughout the peritoneum that it was not removable and the doctor said his only recommendation was chemotherapy. Without too much to gain, I left the hospital in a few days. While I was staying at home, I began reading the Bible from Genesis and examining myself to see why I became subject to such trials and what sins I had still remaining in me. Although I'd been a Christian since childhood, God reminded me of how I had lived a self-centered life and how I'd been unable to be at peace with my husband as I had to juggle among working, raising children, and doing house chores. When I repented of each sin, God filled me with love and peace. Receiving prayer from Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee I had been familiar with Ida Manmin Church and its Pastor Rev. Seung-gil Ryu. I had also been given Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's testimonial memoir and received God's grace through his crusades, upon hearing about my cancer, Rev. Ryu advised me to receive prayer from Rev. Dr. Lee. So I decided to visit Manmin Joong-ang Church in Korea in October 2005 and ask Rev. Dr. Lee for his prayer. My family, who had no faith, was concerned. Yet, I had the faith by which I believed I could be healed and after preparing an offering and with prayer the way General Naaman had done, I boarded the plane for Korea. Dramatic drop in the cancer level When I arrived at the Church for the Friday All-night Service on October 7, 2005, the sights of the massive sanctuary and the Spirit-filled faces of brothers and sisters made me feel like I was in heaven. When I met with Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for his prayer alongside the rest of the group from Japan, I received teeming grace from his gentleness and humble heart. "¡¦scorch the ovarian cancer from its root. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ" The moment Rev. Dr. Lee prayed for me, I felt my stomach beginning to heat up and became certain that I had just received God's healing. I felt better day after day and the rest of my visit to Korea was very enjoyable. When I returned to Japan, I went to the hospital for another exam and the cancer that had been over 5,000 had incredibly dropped below 100. After experiencing God's grace firsthand, I joined and started attending Ida Manmin Church. One day, I felt my body heat up twice and I could feel in my heart that Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee was praying for me at those moments. "Everything's normal now." As I was faithful to my God-given duties at the church and marched onward in Christ, my heart was always at peace and overflowing with joy. My condition also improved; about six months later, I regained all the weight I had lost. I strove to recompense for God's grace as I served in the choir and in serving meals on Sundays. When I went back to the hospital for a regular physical on March 2, 2006, I learned that everything was "normal." Hallelujah! On top of this, God has blessed the faith of my 15-year-old daughter and her grandfather to grow while I serve Him today as assistant mission leader of the 1 Women's Mission. Whenever I hear the Senior Pastor's message of life, in gratitude I begin shedding tears. I am going to do everything I can to spread the news of the Living God and the works of His power. I give thank and glory to God who has healed me and I also thank Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Rev. Seung-gil Ryu, and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ at Ida Manmin. Exams 1. My mother has been set free from evil spirits by GCN.

~ Junior Deaconess Jin-kyung Jung (Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church) I give thanks to Father God for leading my mother Ahn-soon Im, who had been tormented by evil spirits for more than two decades, to be set free and causing her to live a truly happy life through GCN (The Global Christian Network; satellite Christian television programming on air around-the-clock). My mother, in her 50s and living on her own, had in the past offered Buddhist services and performed exorcism for the benefit of her children but such activities had only served as a gateway for evil spirits. In the middle of a night, she would hear a voice calling out her name. In fear, my mother would cover herself with blankets and the evil spirits would torment her by trampling on her and piercing her eyes and mouth. While praying for my afflicted mother, I asked my Pastor Rev. Yeon-ok Jung at Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church for a visit and I helped my mother become familiar with the gospel by installing the GCN satellite receiver at her home. Miracles came to pass the very first day. While listening to messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, my mother rent her heart in repentance. On top of that, for the first time in more than 20 years my mother could sleep comfortably as the evil spirits that had tormented her were nowhere to be found or heard. Today, my mother gets up early in the morning to pray, is partaking in the ongoing "Seven-week Special Prayer Meeting," and is keeping the Lord's Day holy. Moreover, she is nurturing her faith by regularly tuning into GCN. I give all thanks and glory to God who has been at work through GCN.
