Fw: 88-[Light and Salt] Hongki Park has been healed of pollution disease - A Life filled with the scent of Christ

[Light and Salt] Hongki Park has been healed of pollution disease - A Life filled with the scent of Christ

"Do I look 10 years younger than I am? It's all grace of our good God." A trace of suffering from a disease was nowhere to be found on Elder Hongki Park's face, which was as bright as sunshine of clear autumn sky. Hongki Park is a deputy director, Office of Civil Consultation in Fair Trade Commission.

9 years ago, he got a disease called 'pollution disease,' or 'public hazard disease'. It is a new kind of disease when pollution substances in the air go into the brain and spinal nerve system to cause spinal nerve breakdown. It is also called chronic fatigue syndrome.

"Sometimes, I couldn't sleep more than 5 hours a day. I could consume only water. I had more than 20 kg of weight loss. I was down to bones and skin. I was so tired of struggling against the disease and I frequently wanted to stop my life. But thinking of my good wife who had been caring for me without even getting upset once, and my two children, I could control myself."

But because of one book, he could finish his 7-year of suffering and begin a new life again.

"By chance I stopped by Chongno Bookstore and was looking at Christian books. One book caught my whole attention. I bought it and read it at home overnight. I shed so many tears."

It was "Tasting Eternal Life before Death" a testimonial memoir of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. In the book he found assurance that he could also be healed.

In May 1997, he attended the "5th 2-Week Special Revival Meeting with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee". Listening to the message, he looked back on his life and shed so many tears of repentance. Even though he tried to live at his best, his life was like a drifting ship without having the hope for heavenly kingdom.
He repented of his past and received prayer of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. He was healed of the pollution disease which medical science could not cure. Amazingly, he was diagnosed to be normal in more than 30 categories in his diagnosis including his blood test.

"I went back to my work in October that year, and I worked very hard to make up for the time I had been on a sick leave. I was so happy to be healed. How thankful it is that God is alive and we will receive blessings if we live in goodness! I really wanted to live by the word of God."

After experiencing the power of God, the Lord became his master of life, and he changed into a person who is bright and kind to everybody, and he came to seek the benefit of others even if it meant he had to take up loss. The joy of salvation and hope for the kingdom of heaven changed him into a generous and giving person.

He is recognized and praised by his colleagues as a truthful Christian. He also received the blessing of promotion, and he also had the honor to do the representative prayer in the "2004 Kwacheon Government Complex United Thanksgiving Service," which was attended by more than 500 government workers.

But what is more joyful to him is that all his family members and relatives have been evangelized, and more than 70 of his relatives are leading a truthful Christian life in main church and branch churches.

"Because I met God for sure, I could preach boldly, and maybe in their sight my life has changed into light."

Elder Hongki Park's family and his relatives who have become one in faith make others feel joy and richness in their heart as well.

Fw: 87-My life is filled with blessings as I've come to understand the meaning of life and strive to love the church!

My life is filled with blessings as I've come to understand the meaning of life and strive to love the church!

Deacon Dong-young Kim
(Representative, Joowon Tech., Inc.; President, 1-2nd Men's Mission)

After marrying my wife, Deaconess Geun-hye Ahn, moving from Mokpo to Incheon, beginning work at a semiconductor company, and my marriage life was beginning to settle down, my older brother shared the gospel with me. "Why don't you come to Manmin Joong-ang Church with me? That place is heaven!"

Understanding the true meaning of life, striving to live by the truth

Upon coming to Manmin for the first time in July 1999, seeing the ushers in their beautiful Hanbok (traditional Koran clothing) and with their bright smiles, and entering the beautiful Main Sanctuary, I could tell this was no ordinary church. I attended a mission meeting after the service, and I felt the kind of love that exists in an intimate family from the fellow mission members.
As I heard Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages filled with life every week, I've come to understand the true meaning of life and that there is more than the life on this earth. I was so thankful to learn that heaven and hell surely exist, and that God is indeed alive.
Each time I noticed the changes about myself by striving to live by God's Word, I felt inexplicable and overwhelming joy. Then an opportunity came for me to take my faith to the next level.

Receiving the blessing of prosperity in both spirit and in flesh

For two years after a miscarriage, my wife and I had no children. I had always thought that we could have children later since we were both very young but my wife was different. "I am going to fast for 3 days to have a baby."
My wife possessed faith as she had heard the countless testimonies of other couples who had received the blessing of pregnancy 5, 10, and even 21 years into their marriage after receiving Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer.
I was so delighted to see my wife, who at the time was a new believer, demonstrating that kind of faith to God and we fasted together for three days in March 1999. When the Senior Pastor prayed from the pulpit during the "Friday All-night Service" that same week, we received his prayer by faith. The following week, my wife had a dream in which the Senior Pastor visited and smiled at her. She became certain of having become pregnant and it was indeed confirmed after a visit to the hospital. Hallelujah! God was delighted with the three-day fasting of us, who at the time had little faith, and allowed my wife to become pregnant according to our faith. We gave birth to a healthy baby boy in December 1999.
Furthermore, as I worked diligently and served my superiors and colleagues by cultivating faithfulness, I began to receive overwhelming financial blessings. Then in 2001, I accepted the proposal of the president of the company at which I had been working and founded Joowon Tech., Inc., a company that produces parts for semiconductors.

Loving the church more in gratitude of God's grace

As my wife and I were so thankful of God's wonderful grace, we began to ponder, 'How can we take care of the sanctuary and be of strength to the Senior Pastor?'
During this time, I began reading Rev. Dr. Lee's books and discovered within me the evil in my heart which I had overlooked. As I saw myself transformed as much as I threw away evil, I realized how precious the gospel of sanctification was. I made a contribution to the publication of The Message of the Cross.
In an earnest desire to share with others the grace of Our God, my fellow mission members and I devoted our hearts and made monetary contributions to the publication of the Senior Pastor's books in Korean and other languages, the replacement of the equipment that repeated the Senior Pastor's three-minute sermon messages and prayer for the sick, sending computer to branch churches abroad, the replacement of lightings in the sanctuary, and the purchase of a new umbrella wrapper. When God saw these acts, God gave us a greater love for the sanctuary, a sense of our being the master of the church, and teeming joy and gratitude at home and work.

Astounding blessing of becoming one in faith and love

With Joowon Tech employees

Last June, my fellow mission members and I made a contribution to help pay for the replacement of the large yet quite old screen in the Main Sanctuary. This ended up serving as an opportunity for my mission members to make following confessions: "I received financial blessings from the most unexpected places!" "I received God's answers to my prayer!" and "I am so happy whenever I take care of the sanctuary."
Mission members who participated with me in their faith and love have either received financial blessings or begun to grow a heart that loves the church and the Lord more greatly. I am so delighted to know that instead of asking the church to do something for them, they are always asking themselves what they can do for the church.
My wife is carrying out her God-given duty as cell leader and giving glory to the Father by doubling the number of brothers and sisters in her cell. Our son Joo-wah and daughter Joo-eun are growing up to be bright lights of the world.
I give all thanks and glory to Our Father God and Our Lord Jesus would also like to express my most sincere gratitude to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for nurturing my family with his heartfelt prayer.

[Just a Second!]

"Those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

To "worship" is "to honor and love as a deity," and the only true deity worthy of receiving honor is Our God. Therefore, worship must be a ceremony in which people give Him reverence, praise, and glory and God seeks people who worship Him in spirit and truth.
"Worshipping in spirit" refers to making bread of God's Word found in the 66 books of the Bible in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and worshipping from the heart together with the Holy Spirit residing within us.
"Worshipping in truth" refers to correctly understanding God and worshipping Him from the heart that truly loves God with joy, gratitude, prayer, praise, keeping His commandments, and offerings.
For worshipping God in spirit and truth is a path through which God's holiness and perfection come to our heart, it is a very important ceremony and a basis for every believer. By bringing together all our heart, all our soul, and all our will, let us give Our God spiritual worship with which He is pleased!

"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).

Fw: 86-We have come from Canada in search of messages of life!

We have come from Canada in search of messages of life!

Deacon Choon-ho Kim (43; Calgary, Canada)

I quit my job in 1996 and immigrated to Canada with my family. I had been growing increasingly skeptical of my job and life in general, and jumped on the "immigration bandwagon" that had been prevalent in Korea at the time.
Adjusting to a life as an immigrant family, however, was no easy task. I couldn't think of starting a business because of the language barrier. My wife and I tried to make ends meet by running day and night a gift shop, a bag store, and the like, but only a sense of emptiness and the weight of a life constantly pressed for money struck us.
As I became poor in spirit, I remembered the church I had attended and the messages I had heard back in Korea. I began attending a Korean-Canadian church nearby and experiencing the living God. Soon, peace settled in my heart and I was given courage in life.
Then one day in 1997, God led me to a new chapter in my life as a Christian. A friend of mine in Canada introduced to me Manmin Joong-ang Church and Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, and gave me the cassette tapes of Rev. Dr. Lee's messages on "the five levels of faith." I had always been curious, asking myself, 'What is true faith?' and Rev. Dr. Lee's messages on the five levels of faith were truly refreshing. They explained to the minutest detail the nature of true faith, ways to measure one's own faith and help reach the perfect faith, the growth process of faith and corresponding heavenly rewards and crowns.
As Biblical questions about which I had long been curious were resolved one by one, like a ship with a sail in a tail wind, my life in Christ was rejuvenated. As I began seeking God's will regarding the life in a foreign land, I realized that God had a calling for me and decided to study theology to prepare for that calling.
In order to prepare for the tuition, we moved to Alberta where it was said to be relatively easier to make money. Yet, financial troubles continued while trials and the loneliness that made me feet like I was abandoned in a wilderness kept tormenting me.
As my family began to participate in worship services at Manmin Joong-ang Church on the Internet in 1998 and listen to Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages of life, however, my family received great strength and encouragement and came to know God's love for us. Rev. Dr. Lee's messages of great spiritual depths on topics including heaven and hell, and "The Lectures on Genesis" gave us a fervent hope for heaven and became a guideline for our lives in Christ. Furthermore, God Himself provided basic necessities and allowed us to live on Our Lord's grace and love.
About two years ago, I had a dream in which the Senior Pastor told me, "Come to Seoul for a visit. It is better to do the work of Our Lord together." I thought to myself, 'I would love to visit Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and the site of the Muan Sweet Water (Exodus 15:25) I've been hearing so much about!' and began praying with an earnest longing in my heart. Finally, with help from various people in my life, my family could get on a plane to Korea.
Upon arriving in July 2006 at Manmin Joong-ang Church I had longed to visit and see with my own eyes, I realized I'd been like a babe in the woods and felt like I'd just gotten out of the woods. I could feel the Holy Spirit within me jumping for joy as I saw in person Rev. Dr. Lee's wondrous manifestations of God's power and works of healing. I participated in all worship services, "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" held every evening, cell services, outreaches, and Spirit-filled fellowships with other members.
When I return to Canada, I vow to never forget this precious experience in my motherland and dedicate my life for the gospel of Our Lord!

Fw: 95-As I follow right principles, God's blessing is overflowing in my business!

As I follow right principles, God's blessing is overflowing in my business!

Deacon Yong-jae Oh (President, Emax Production; 1-4th Parish)

Months of torment from failure in stock investment

Fifteen years ago in 1991, I was running a small business but sustained a colossal financial loss from the failure in stock investment. I tried in vain to pay back the debts by seeking my parents' assistance and borrowing my younger brother's retirement benefits.
Without any choice, for the four years following 1992, I was forced to make ends' meet by living at my brother's home and driving a taxi cab. On top of this, I was fired after getting involved in a huge car accident while driving the cab. There was only manual labor left for me to do and I spent many days physically drained.

Led to the Lord by my wife's entreating with tears

At the time, my wife was leading a faithful and diligent life in Christ at Manmin Joong-ang Church. I made a problem out of everything she did, often hit her, and when I was consumed with anger, I would go to the church and made an ugly scene. Through it all, however, my wife Deaconess Yeon-ok Kim did not show any discomfort but only overcame everything by striving to serve and strengthen me even more. As she urged me to attend worship services whenever I could, the door to my heart began to open little by little.
In the end, I was so profoundly moved by my wife's patience and love and began coming to church once or twice a month. Each time I did come to church, I felt overwhelmed by unfathomable joy while listening to messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. So I began keeping the Lord's Day holy and my faith began to grow as I heard the testimonies of countless people who have received healing and blessings at home, workplaces, and businesses by the Senior Pastor's prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Receiving the prayer of blessings and experiencing God's work

Then one day in 1997 – I still had no steady job by then – I finally gave my wife a confession of faith. "Honey! I want to receive the Senior Pastor's prayer! I feel like something good is going to happen!"
My wife became immediately overjoyed. We prepared an offering with all our heart and went before the Senior Pastor and received his prayer. Three days later, I received a phone call from a former business associate. "I already have an office set up. Would you like to start a sales promotion and PR publication business?" I was so excited that I didn't know what to do. After experiencing God's work only after receiving prayer once, my faith grew day after day.
At the time, however, I faced many problems; my credit was in a bad shape and I did not have a large capital with which to begin a business. Each time I faced a problem, however, I went before the Senior Pastor to receive his prayer and, in prayer, strove to trust only in God. Then I soon had new clients, all my difficulties resolved, and even received back outstanding debts.

Starting a business; following strict principles

In 2001, I founded "Emax Production," a company that designed and produced posters with real-life photographs, in the eastern part of Seoul. In running a business, my priority became following the principles Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had taught me in his messages. Instead of thinking only of short-term benefits, my goals were set on making an adequate margin of profits, serving the clients to the best of my ability, working diligently and timely to the clients' satisfaction, and building a good credit by making various payments on time.
Soon afterwards, a rumor spread out. "Emax is trustworthy and the quality of their work is indisputable." Almost all of the real-life-photograph market in the music industry soon became our share and starting in 2003, when we began expanding our business to the film industry, we had almost half of all the orders placed in the market.

God's blessings over my business; expansion and relocation service

In October 2004, when we relocated and expanded our business to Guro-dong, we invited Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center, for "The Founding Service." That December, I showed samples of Emax's products to the heads Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) and celebrity management companies, both of whom were pleased with what we had, and experienced God's blessing of signing a deal worth over US$300,000 on the spot.
Today, I could not be more grateful as all our employees are of one heart in the midst of the ever-so increasing blessings. I give all thanks and glory to my Lord Jesus Christ and the Living God my Father who has led me to a life of true blessings.

[Just a Second!]

"The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force" (Matthew 11:12).

For God is love, He has allowed it for anyone who believes to take hold of heaven. However, if heaven were granted to an individual who led a life in Christ diligently and only seeking the benefits of others and another individual who was anything but, could we say that God is "the God of justice"?
When we work diligently, we are given good jobs, opportunities for promotion, and able to purchase good houses. In any given country, there are a capital city in which the president resides, secondary cities, suburbs, islands, and mountainous areas. By the same token, there are in heaven New Jerusalem in which God's throne is seated and boundaries. For this reason Jesus has told us, that "violent men take" the heavenly kingdom "by force."
New Jerusalem featured in Revelation 21 is the best dwelling place in all of heaven. This is an eternal city where people who have taken after our Lord's heart and become faithful in all God's household, such as Abraham, Moses, the apostles Paul and Peter, enter.
In what kind of heavenly dwelling place would people who barely receive salvation, who are like infants in spiritual terms, reside eternally? Like the criminal who was hung on a cross next to Jesus and repented, they will enter paradise, which is on the outskirts of heaven (Luke 23:43). Our God recompenses every man according to his deeds and allows us to reap as much as we have sown. Each of our heavenly dwelling places will be determined by the extent to which we have lived by God's Word, taken after our Lord's heart, and faithfully carried out our God-given duties.
This is why we read in 1 Corinthians 15:41-42, "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body."

Fw: 84-I've been healed of general paralysis caused by cervical fracture.

I've been healed of general paralysis caused by cervical fracture.

Deacon Saek-boo Park (47; Changwon Manmin Church)

Around 1 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, April 13, 2006, I missed my steps on a staircase, rolled down on it, broke my neck, and became paralyzed from head to toe. In addition, my airway became obstructed so I was forced to rely on a respirator. The doctors advised that I needed an immediate operation.
On the following day, however, I came up to Seoul by ambulance to receive Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer. At that very moment, I could begin breathing normally and on the way back to Changwon, I could have a bowl of porridge. After the Senior Pastor's prayed on my photograph on April 28, I could begin to move my waist and use my arm and leg.
At "The One-day Handkerchief (Acts 19:11-12) Meeting" with Pastor Heesun Lee on Saturday, May 6, I rent my heart in repentance for not having lived by the Word. After receiving the handkerchief prayer, I could sit up on my own, turn my neck around freely, and begin using my left hand.
After receiving prayer again from the Senior Pastor on May 17, I was given strength on my legs, after which I could get up from the wheelchair, stand up on my own, and have food. After receiving the prayer from Pastor Heesun Lee, who had come to Milyang Manmin Church, with the handkerchief on which the Senior Pastor had prayed, I could begin to walk on my own.
Then after attending "The One-day Crusade for Blessings with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee" at Daejeon Manmin Church, and receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer, I was given more strength in my legs and could begin walking well again. On the next day, I could come to the Wednesday Evening Service without the wheelchair. Hallelujah!

Fw: 83-The Faithful God who recompenses according to our deeds.

The Faithful God who recompenses according to our deeds.

Deacon Ghap-ryul Han (1st Paul's Mission; Central Manager, Urim Insu - Urim Insu is a division of the Shinhan Life insurance company)

The Seoul sky at the onset of the summer was unusually clean and bright. The look on Deacon Ghap-ryul Han (1st Paul's Mission; Central Manager, Urim Insu - Urim Insu is a division of the Shinhan Life insurance company) was as bright as the sunlight on this gorgeous day.
From the moment the reporter met with Deacon Han, I could sense his heartfelt gestures and words when dealing with others. This is because such behavior has become so accustomed to him after working for five years as a financial planner ("FP"; a professional who helps people with various financial needs).

At the end of 2001, at the referral of a brother in Christ in the same mission, Deacon Han began working at "Shinhan Life." He started work after being discharged from the military in 1997 but was forced to quit during the financial crisis that swept through Asia in the late 1990s. Even though he switched from one job to another, from a furniture factory and manual labor to a kindergarten bus driver, a delivery truck driver, and a rental car driver, Deacon Han never lost his resolve or aspiration but always told himself, "I'll do my best. Whatever it takes, I will give glory to my Father God!"
Then one night, Deacon Han had a dream. It was a dream in which Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee told him, "Deacon Han! It would be nice if you became charge in other parts of South Korea!" and gave him a hug. As the part of his job included traveling to various parts of the country and obtaining results by meeting with clients, Deacon Han took this dream to his heart and always kept it in mind.
On his way from Jeonju to Kwangju one September day in 2003 in the midst of his busy schedule, Deacon Han was involved in a car accident in which he failed to see a large truck in front of him, rammed into the truck, and had his car overturned.
"When I got out of the car, I checked myself from head to toe. The moment I realized I hadn't gotten hurt anywhere, tears streamed down my cheeks."
He began praying to God, wondering why he could not have been protected. Deacon Han had served as united mission leader of the Young Adults Mission but at the 2003 General Assembly, he did not pray out of his arrogance and was not entrusted with any duties at church. This is why Deacon Han had felt afflicted in the heart. He thoroughly rent his heart in repentance of having been rude to other members of the Young Adults Mission while he was united mission leader and negligent of praise services because of his busy schedule.
"I always tried on the walk on the right path in gratitude. I wanted to spare a dollar so that I could offer it to God or use it to give relief to the poor. Also, as I always carried the handkerchief on which Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12) to meetings with a client, I could strike any deals."
As he became renewed, by 2004 he had an annual salary of about US$150,000 and out of some 120 employees, Deacon Han was ranked "Top 5" each month in terms of sales. Recognized for his performance, he was appointed to the position of "Central Manager." However, when the president wanted Deacon Han to work on Sundays, he decided to quit.
While praying for a new job, in August 2005, Deacon Han began working at Urim Insu, headed by Elder Gyu-dong Lee of Manmin Joong-ang Church.
"I wanted to be of strength to the church and the shepherd. I prayed fervently and, in trusting in God who recompenses according to our deeds, I gave Him offerings whenever I could. My tithes gradually increased and as of June of this year, I offer God about $2,200 a month."
For Deacon Han makes ceaseless efforts to reveal God's glory regardless of time and space, he is receiving God's wondrous blessings. Deacon Han's faith in God was truly beautiful.

Fw: 82-I'm pregnant with a son in my fifth year of marriage!

I'm pregnant with a son in my fifth year of marriage!

Deaconess Ah-hyun Kim (Western Busan Manmin Church)

After getting married in December 2001, I began attending church with my husband Deacon Won-jik Jeon and except for one thing, our marriage could not have been any happier. My husband is the eldest son of the head house of his family and I, as his wife, have always felt forced to have a son, yet I could not get pregnant.
My thoughtful mother-in-law always comforted me, "At the time of His choosing, our Lord will give us a son," but my husband and I became jealous of our friends and their spouses, some of whom got married after us have a baby or two. My father-in-law would often say, "When I go meet with my friends, they always boast of their grandchildren, but what joy do have I in life without a grandchild?" I felt sorry and terrible and I tried to serve my parents-in-law better, but there was no way to redeem myself.

Healing of severe case of pustular psoriasis

Then in October 2005, pustular psoriasis developed on my left hand. The left had was severely disfigured and the stench was unbearable. Yet, after examining my life in Christ, repenting of the past, and receiving Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer, my hand became whole again. I began to love God and trust in Him more than ever before, and my husband's also changed as he began to pray everyday and became more faithful.
Then our Lord gave the both of us spiritual faith by which we could trust in the almighty God and receive His answers, and granted us a wondrous blessing for us in February 2006. In one of his messages, the Senior Pastor said, "When I pray for the sick from DR Congo during the Festival, if you receive prayer by faith in Korea, that prayer will transcend time and space and you will be able to receive the desires of your heart."
My husband said, "Honey, let us earnestly prepare our hearts for the Congo Festival, receive the Senior Pastor's prayer by faith, and receive the blessing of pregnancy." We became of one heart and attended "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" every night and prepared our hearts as vessels worthy of God's answers.
During the three days of "The 2006 DR Congo Miracle Healing Festival," I woke up early in the morning and waited to receive the Senior Pastor's prayer for the sick. However, the technical difficulties on DR Congo's ended cutting off the transmission before I could receive prayer. I was disappointed but on Sunday following "The Festival," I received by faith the Senior Pastor's prayer that had been previously recorded alongside the rest of the congregation.

Afterwards, I fixed my eyes by faith and kept them on any changes of the body. When I suddenly began to have a larger appetite, I bought a home pregnancy test, which showed that I was already pregnant. In my fifth year of marriage, I had received the blessing of pregnancy. For a more comprehensive evaluation, I went to a hospital and the test result revealed I became pregnant the week after I had received prayer. As of now, I am five months pregnant.

Deacon Chang-hoon Jeon and his wife Deaconess Mi-jung Jang

As soon as my husband and I received the blessing of pregnancy, my father-in-law, who had not come to church for quite some time, could only acknowledge God's power and resumed going to church. In addition, my husband's younger brother Deacon Chang-hoon Jeon and his wife Deaconess Mi-jung Jang (Gumi Manmin Church), who had also been longing for a baby, received the blessing of pregnancy two years after their marriage.
I give all thanks and glory to my Father God for His delicate love that allowed the births of the new generation in our family, and I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for his prayer of love.

Our son's fractured bones were healed only by prayer!

Deacon Hyun-wook Jang (7-32nd Parish; 1-1st Men's Mission)

Around 10 o'clock on the night of May 16, 2006, our son Jae-min (4 years of age) fell from the top of the drawer and suffered an injury in which two of the bones in his left arm were fractured. Immediately, Jae-min was in a tremendous amount of pain and my wife and I began repenting of having stopped praying and not having worshipped God in spirit and in truth as we used our son as an excuse. We sprayed the Muan Sweet Water on Jae-min's arm and had him receive Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's "Prayer for the Sick" recorded on the automated telephone message. The pain disappeared right away and Jae-min began playing again as if nothing had happened to him.
The next day, we received the Senior Pastor's prayer. Even though we did not place Jae-min's arm in a cast, the swelling gradually came down in the left arm, which had also awkwardly turned and became crooked. About a week later, by May 24, the crooked arm was back in its position and Jae-min now has no trouble using his left arm.

X-ray results

Before receiving prayer
1. Two bones in left arm fractured
2. Fracture caused arm to become crooked

After receiving prayer
1. Fractured bones are normal again
2. Arm straightened

My son was healed of metal disorder in 21 years!

Won Duong Ji (right) with his parents

The year our son Won Duong turned 17, his teacher paid a visit to our home. He reported that Won Duong was so arrogant at school that he did not care to listen to any of the teachers. My husband and I became so upset that we hit him.
Afterwards, Won Duong's grades dropped rapidly and at times, he did not even go to school. One time, he wrote a will and did not come home for days. At another time, he charged at people with a knife in his hand. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia – mental disorder.
Won Duong was hospitalized and even in the hospital, he frequently broke vases and television sets, and became even more violent. My husband and I went to a Buddhist temple and fortunetellers, but his conditions only grew worse. After numerous cycles of hospitalizations and discharges, Won Duong was now in his 30s and my husband and I were busy paying for his medical treatments, which cost a fortune and took a heavy toll on our household.

Then one day in the autumn of 2004, I received two CD's as a gift. "These are the CD's of 'The 2002 Miracle Healing Prayer Festival,' conducted by Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor at Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul. Be sure to watch it!"
As I watched the scenes in which the rain began falling after a long drought upon Rev. Dr. Lee's arrival in India – a proof of God's presence with him – and in which countless people were healed by his prayer in the name of Jesus Christ of such incurable and terminal diseases as cancer and AIDS, I felt as if I were watching the signs and wonders our Jesus and His disciples had manifested.
'He can heal Won Duong!'
Then we began attending a Manmin branch near our home. Even though we were many, many miles away from him, we began listening to Rev. Dr. Lee's messages on the Internet and leading lives in Christ. We also heard the testimonies of so many people who received God's healing of their diseases through Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer that transcended time and space.
Towards the end of June 2005, my husband and I earnestly prepared an offering and sent it to Seoul along with a photograph of Won Duong, requesting the Senior Pastor's prayer for our son. We wrote to him, "Dear Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, our son Won Duong has been tormented by mental disorder for the past 21 years. Mental disorders cannot be cured by man. But we believe our son can be healed by the name of Jesus Christ. So we send you a photograph of Won Duong. Please pray for him."
On July 8, during "The Friday All-night Service," the Senior Pastor read our letter from the pulpit, placed his hand on Won Duong's photograph to pray for him. "Father God! Please lay Your hand on this photograph. Heal him of schizophrenia. Let the light come. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ." A miraculous thing happened after receiving prayer.

"Your son has markedly improved. We think he can go home now."
Upon our visit to the hospital, all the nurses said Won Duong's condition had dramatically improved. Two months later, after confirming that our son was healed of schizophrenia, Won Duong was discharged from the hospital, healthier than ever. During the next 2-3 months, my husband and I were concerned whether or not mental disorder might recur but 10 months after being healed, Won Duong is still doing very well.
At witnessing this unimaginable sight, my husband and I rejoiced. Won Duong also repented of his ways and is now a son who is very dutiful and faithful to his parents. Wherever he goes, Won Duong distributes the church fliers and testifies to the God he has met. He is also in charge of praise, prayer meetings, and presiding over services.
Our family and neighbors, who witnessed Won Duong's healing, also gave glory to the Savior of mankind Jesus Christ and our Father the Living God. Our family, which has suffered from times of discord because of Won Duong's sickness, has also become a unit filled with love and joy.
I praise the power of God manifested through Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor at Manmin Joong-ang Church. Hallelujah!

[Just a Second!]

Difference between "Jesus" and "Jesus Christ"

At the end of our prayer, we often say, "I pray in the name of Jesus." Yet, the name "Jesus" is a future-tense expression, referring to "He who will save His people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). "Christ" is a Greek term that has been translated from a Hebrew word "Messiah," and refers to "He who has perfected God's providence of salvation." Therefore, it is correct to refer to Jesus before His bearing of the cross as "Jesus" and in order to refer to Jesus after His resurrection, we must use such titles as "Jesus Christ," "Lord Jesus," or "Lord."
Closing our prayer "in the name of Jesus Christ," "in the name of Lord Jesus," or "in the name of Our Lord" carries greater authority in spirit.

From the threat of giving birth to a deformed child, I've given birth to a normal child.

Cho-rong Huh (Kwangju Manmin Church)

"The condition of the baby's left lung is rather serious. You should go to a bigger hospital for a more thorough evaluation."
I heard something completely unexpected during a visit to my obstetrician at the 7th month of my pregnancy.
A diagnosis at Chonnam National University Hospital revealed the baby was suffering from "congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation" in which miniscule cysts had developed in the baby's lung, causing the left lung to become enlarged and the heart to be pushed to the right. If left untreated, my husband and I were told, hydrops could develop and the baby could die in the womb or suffer from Down syndrome or such a mental retardation condition as chromosome abnormality. Even after birth, because the baby's lungs would not be functioning properly and he would have to wait until he reached the proper age for an operation and the operation itself would not guarantee any marked improvements.
As we knew from God's Word that the illness in small children, in many cases, was the result of the sins and wrongdoings of their parents, my husband and I began clinging to God in prayer at "The Daniel Prayer Meetings" in order to destroy the wall of sin standing in our way to Him. I thoroughly rent my heart in repentance of having only kept the Lord's Day holy without living a proper life of prayer and having lived my life the way I wanted to live. My husband (Deacon Dong-pil Lee) had been healed of gastric ulcer by the prayer of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee in December 2005, but he also rent his heart in repentance of having gotten lazy with worship and prayer because of his constant night work.
After repenting of all our sins, we came up to Seoul on February 24 and March 3, 2006 to receive the Senior Pastor's prayer prior to "The Friday All-night Service." With the offerings my husband and I had prepared with all our heart, we received his prayer. Then on Sunday, March 19, we received the handkerchief prayer (Acts 19:11-12) from Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center, who came to lead the anniversary service at Kwangju Manmin Church.
The March 20 ultrasound conducted by my obstetrician, who had examined me periodically throughout my pregnancy, revealed that the baby's heart, which had been pushed to the right, had returned to its place at the center and that much of harmful parts in the lungs had also disappeared. Yet, the doctor told us that while the baby's condition seemed to have improved, lungs that had been harmed once could not be made whole again.
So my husband and I received prayer for the third time from the Senior Pastor.
On my next visit to the obstetrician on Monday, April 17, I heard good news: the ultrasound revealed that the baby's heart was almost back to its normal place and the abnormal parts on his lungs were no longer visible.
Another examination at Chonnam National University Hospital also revealed that the negative prognosis could not be found.
Our son Gi-ppeum (Editor's Note: "Gi-ppeum," when literally translated, means "Joy") was born on Saturday, May 13. Yet, the joy lasted only for a little while as the ultrasound, electrocardiography, and X-rays performed at the Pediatrics Department at Chonnam National University Hospital revealed that Gi-ppeum was in a serious condition as the jaundice level was too high.
On the following Friday the 19th, Rev. Hyung-ryul Park, Senior Pastor at Kwangju Manmin Church, went to Seoul on our behalf to receive prayer from Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee on the baby's photograph. He asked Rev. Park how the faith of the baby's mother was and told him, "God has given this baby to them but he is still sick. The parents must see if there is any wall of sin that remains standing."
Once again, my husband and I thoroughly rent our heart in repentance as we looked back at our lives in Christ and received prayer from Rev. Dr. Lee again on Sunday, May 21. From that very evening onward, Gi-ppeum could open his eyes wide. His pupils, which had a shade of yellow before, turned white. The jaundice level examined three days later revealed that from the level of 19~20, it had dropped significantly to 11~13, and another evaluation on June 2 revealed that the jaundice level was normal. Hallelujah!

My brother had been in a coma from acute respiratory failure but has awakened!

Taek-soon Jung (6-22nd Parish)

When my older brother Yong-gook Jung experienced hemoptysis on Monday, April 3, 2006, his condition worsened immediately and we took him by ambulance to Kyunghee Medical Center, where he was soon hospitalized.
The doctor said my brother was suffering from acute respiratory failure of an unknown nature. The following evening, my brother lost consciousness and became 100% dependent on oxygen injection. When the doctor told us on the evening of April 5 that there was a little likelihood of my brother's survival, I became utterly hopeless while my mother, who began weeping, looked like she was about to faint.
That night, when Rev. Young-suk Kim visited us at the hospital and prayed earnestly for my brother with the handkerchief (Acts 19:11-12) on which Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed, my brother's lungs, which had been turning white, stopped its irregular activity. My mother and I attended "The Special 28-Day Prayer Meeting" at the Guri Branch Sanctuary and clung to God in prayer. There, I rent my heart in repentance for not having attended the church even though I had joined Manmin in 2002 and had many firsthand experiences of the Living God, and not having been on good terms with my brother. I also repented on behalf of my brother.
On Friday, April 7, I received the Senior Pastor's prayer for my brother, who was no longer in danger of losing his life but still had not awakened from the coma.
"Father God, please place Your hand on this photograph. Let him wake up now."
The next day, the oxygen injection, which had been at 100%, dropped to 80% and there were signs of his recovery. My mother and I prayed all the more fervently for my brother and the Senior Pastor prayed again on his photograph on Friday, April 21.
Exactly 21 days after he was admitted to the hospital, my brother responded to the conversation I was having with my mother. His condition improved so rapidly afterwards that in four days, he was moved to a regular bedroom and finally on May 8, he left the hospital, as healthy as he had ever been. Hallelujah!

Fw: 80-8After founding Yamagata Manmin Church in Japan, there are brimming blessings at home and work!

After founding Yamagata Manmin Church in Japan, there are brimming blessings at home and work!

Deacon Jea-kyu Joo
(Director, The Korean Residents Union in Japan)

Working at the Korean Residents Union in Japan in Yamagata Prefecture

I had been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea from June 1986 and then moved to Japan to work at the Korean Consulate General at Sendai in December 1988. After marrying my wife Deaconess Yoon-young Choi, I began my life in Christ because of the heart surgery she underwent.
Then in the autumn of 1994, I was offered a position at the Korean Residents Union in Japan (an organization created to promote the rights and prosperity of South Korean-Japanese residents; also known as "Mindan") in Yamagata Prefecture. Thinking of the proposal as a sign of God's guidance, I quit my post at the Consulate General and my wife and I settled in Yamagata. Contrary to our anticipation, however, only unfamiliarity and poor financial conditions of the Mindan were awaiting my arrival.

My wife diagnosed with "cholesteatoma otitis media"

Then in the middle of one night in May 1995, my wife began complaining of an acute pain and we rushed to a nearby hospital on an ambulance, but the doctors were clueless as to even the name of the disease. For I had to leave for Korea on business in two days and because there was no one to look after my wife in Japan, we ended up going to Korea together. En route to Seoul, my wife complained of the pain and said if she could, she wanted to jump out of the plane.
Once in Korea, we went to a hospital for medical checkup and my wife was diagnosed with an incurable disease called "cholesteatoma otitis media," in which bacteria would not only gnaw at the bones in one's ears but also penetrate the brain and develop brain tumor. We were also told that an immediate operation was unavoidable.

Receiving Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer and healing

At the time, my mother-in-law had just attended "The Two-week Special Revival Meeting with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee" and received healing of her rheumatoid arthritis. She urged my wife to receive Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer and we ended up receiving his prayer together.
Miraculously, as I found out later, the moment we received his prayer my wife said her body felt very "cool" all of a sudden and the severe pain already disappeared. The following day, we attended the "Special Meeting for the Sick" at which she rent her heart in repentance. After that day, there was no more oozing from her ears and without any sequela, my wife was completely healed.

Receiving the blessing of pregnancy; creating a blissful family

God's blessings did not end with my wife's healing. In June 1995, my wife became pregnant. We had been unable to have children during the first five years of marriage but after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer, we received the blessing of pregnancy.
Our firstborn Shi-young was born in March 1996 and he was followed by Dae-young in October 1998. Another exam in 1999 revealed that my wife was pregnant with another son but this time we wanted a daughter. So we received the Senior Pastor's prayer.
With the birth of our daughter Ga-young in May 2005, our family praised and gave glory to Our God on High!

Worshipping on Sundays; praying for a branch church

"Father God, we ask you to spread throughout the whole Japan the messages filled with life. Allow a branch church to be built here. Send us a missionary."
After experiencing the Living God with the healing of cholesteatoma otitis media and the blessing of pregnancy, my wife and I returned to Japan and diligently distributed sermon cassette tapes and books written by Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and never stopped spreading the gospel and praying.
On July 4, 1997, we had a worship service with Rev. Seung-kil Ryu, Pastor at Ida Manmin Church, at a Mindan office. We rented a welfare center building the following week and began Bible study sessions once or twice a month with the people we had evangelized. On November 16, eight people including children offered God our first Sunday Worship Service and we met every Sunday from then on at the welfare center building. During breaks at work, I prepared for worship services by creating the weekly bulletins and calling other members. After work, my wife, our children, and I paid visits to other members at their homes.
We offered Sunday Worship Services with the Senior Pastor's sermon tapes, and words cannot adequately describe the bliss all of us felt when we shared the testimonies of the grace we had received. Each member came to the Service with food he or she had prepared at home, and we prayed fervently for the founding of a branch church and a sanctuary.

Yamagata Manmin Church founded!

On January 9, 1998, my heart could not have been moved any more as we offered God the "Founding Service" of Yamagata Manmin Church in His grace. In September, with Rev. Kang-sup Jang who was commissioned to Yamagata from Korea, we rejoiced in gathering on the entire second floor of the welfare center building and prayed all the more fervently for the construction of a sanctuary.
"Father! Give us a sanctuary at a convenient location where we can call out to You freely. Give us lots of parking spaces, too!"
The God of love began doing His work. He moved the hearts of Korean-Japanese residents in the area, who had long seen me faithfully serving and working for them despite the continuing financial difficulties at the Mindan, as they provided with necessary furnishings and funds for the construction of the sanctuary. Finally in September 1999, as His answer to the prayer of Rev. Jang and alls of us, God allowed us to offer Him "The Dedication Service" in a sanctuary of almost 4,300 square feet in area on a land almost 11,400 square feet in area.
In September 2003, when I received the Senior Pastor's prayer for the upcoming "Handkerchief Meeting" (Acts 19:11-12) and the attendance of 17 people we had evangelized, God worked for all of the 17 people to attend the Meeting. We are so thankful to have a church that keeps growing in a country where it is so difficult to spread the gospel to even one person.

Brimming blessings at home and work after founding Yamagata Manmin Church

Meeting with former President of Korea Dae-jung Kim
God also blessed me in many other ways. The construction of a Korean-Japanese Resident Center was complete only in my fifth year at the Mindan while I was given the Envoy Extraordinary and Ambassador Plenipotentiary's Award in January 2004 in recognition of contributing to the development of the Korean-Japanese society and enhancing national prestige.
As I am a salaried man, I do not have much to spare but as I sowed earnestly on various occasions, God blessed me as much as I have sown.
In 2003, I was able to purchase a single-family house with a lawn. When I received the Senior Pastor's prayer with offering in May 2005 because I wanted the stocks of a Korean-Japanese company I had purchased in 2004 to be listed, God did His work in a truly astonishing way soon after. I had never received the dividend from the company for the previous 12 years but within a couple of months after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer, I received the hundred fold of the offering in return. In addition, I have also been receiving so many requests on my side job ? in which I introduce companies in both Korea and Japan and help them do business with each other ? that God has allowed my tithes to double.
I give all thanks and glory to God and Our Lord Jesus Christ, and I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, who leads my family onto the road of blessing with his life-filled messages and prayer.

Fw: 80-7I have been healed of my 20-year-old bronchial asthma!

I have been healed of my 20-year-old bronchial asthma!

Sung-jin Lee (65; Eastern Kwangju Manmin Church)

One day in 1985, some 21 years ago, I began coughing. At first, I only thought of the coughing as a part of the resolution phase but it gradually became worse. Then starting about 7 years ago, the coughing was compounded with dyspnea, which forced me to quit my job and stay at home. Over the years, my condition only grew worse. Beginning a few years ago, walking up a step in a staircase became unbearably difficult and even going to the bathroom became so tremendously burdensome that I did not bother going outdoors.
I went to a few hospitals but none of them had the cure for me and I began relying on medication in vain. Depression also began to overwhelm me, perhaps because I was staying home most of the time. In hopes of overcoming this, when I was not out of breath as much, I smoked one to two packs of cigarettes a day, which, looking back at it now, was nothing but suicidal. From inertia and the loss of appetite, I skipped a lot of meals and at one point, I was 175 centimeters (about 5 feet nine inches) tall but weighed only 49 kilograms (about 108 pounds).
At the introduction of my youngest sister, I joined Eastern Kwangju Manmin Church in March 2005. When I first arrived at the church, I did not understand any of the messages but I felt unexplainable peace in my heart.
Then I set aside 21 days of vowed worship services with the guidance of pastor Yeon-ok Jung at my home. During those three weeks, I learned things like who God is and why Jesus is my Savior, and through Manmin Joong-ang News and the Manmin magazine, and books he had written, I learned about Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's manifestations of God's power.
In December 2005, I became convinced that I would be healed of my bronchial asthma if I went to Manmin's Main Sanctuary in Seoul and received Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer. Before the Friday All-night Service, I received his prayer and the moment Rev. Dr. Lee prayed for me, I felt strength throughout my body and I could walk up a flight of stairs with no difficulty. Moreover, in the grace of God, by early January 2006 I was able to do something I had been unable to do even in times I was sick: quit smoking.
During a worship service one day in January 2006, I rent my heart with tears in repentance for not having heeded the words of evangelists, lived a life of intemperance, sought only my own benefits, and made my wife's life difficult.
As I received the Senior Pastor's prayer a few more times afterwards, my condition improved dramatically. I no longer run out of breath even when I run up and down the staircases and I have since gained 8 kilograms (about 18 pounds).
At my oldest son's wedding on March 12, relatives and well-wishers in attendance were very delighted to see me so healthy and well again.
In addition to my asthma, God has also healed me of hemorrhoid from which I'd been suffering for 25 years. Hallelujah!
