A Story of Faith: Eun Hyuk of Korea's Top Boy Band 'Super Junior'

~ Hyuk Jae Lee (2 College Mission; "Eun Hyuk" is Hyuk Jae's stage name) Super Junior is a top boy band in Korea whose popularity extends to China, Japan, Thailand, the Southeast Asia, and beyond. Of the 13-member Super Junior, the recipient of "The 2006 SBS Popular Music Mutizen Song Award," "The Most Popular Mobile Song Award" at the Seoul Music Awards, numerous "Best New Artist" awards, and Gold Disc Awards, there is a young man who shines like a beautiful jewel in his love for God. The interview team met with "Eun Hyuk," whose birth name is Hyuk Jae Lee. Nurturing his dream to be a singer since his grade school days, Eun Hyuk auditioned for and was signed by SM Entertainment (one of Korea's major music producers and management companies) during his middle school years and debuted as a member of Super Junior in November 2005. It may appear as though Eun Hyuk achieved stardom overnight but, reminiscing the road he's traveled thus far, everything still feels like a dream for him. "My training before the debut was actually a lot longer than that of other singers," says Eun Hyuk. "I trained for about 6 years and many others who had trained with me ended up debuting before I did. At times I was jealous of them. Friends at school would sometimes ask, 'So when's your big debut?' Some would even make a cruel joke. 'Are you sure you're still with the management company? You sure you haven't gotten fired?' It was difficult. But I thought it was all part of the process. Because I thought it was something I had to go through anyway, I never gave up, not even for a moment." Now that he's realized his dream, Eun Hyuk confesses that his faith had been an undeniable support that pulled him through staying up many a night for practice and psychological burdens he endured since the debut. Beginning his life in Christ in childhood with his parents, Eun Hyuk joined Manmin Joong-ang Church in May 1999 and has been nurturing his faith. While watching many people being healed by the prayer of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, who was conducting "The Two-week Special Revival Meeting," Eun Hyuk says that even though he was very little at the time, his heart was deeply touched by the work of the Living God. Attending worship services afterwards, Eun Hyuk vowed to live by God's Word and has not forgotten to pray every day. Eun Hyuk is extremely busy today, with continuous appearances on television and hosting the radio program "Kiss the Radio" on KBS 2FM. Still, because he is a member of a group it is not always easy to make time for his personal use. Yet, Eun Hyuk confesses that whenever he attends worship services at Manmin and meets with Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee even briefly, he feels refreshed and reinvigorated. "I'm so grateful for my family and relatives who support me with prayer. I am also grateful for the Senior Pastor who always gives me kind words of advice. I still feel I have long ways to go with singing and dancing but I am going to do my best to give great glory to God." During "The 2006 Evangelization Campaign," Eun Hyuk has brought back many souls to the arms of our Lord and strives to emanate the scent of Christ and give glory to God whenever and wherever. ~ Soo-gil Park (15, Ulsan Manmin Church) Back in August 2006, I was making ends meet by doing manual labor. One day, at the urging of my younger brother, I attended the Friday All-night Service at Ulsan Manmin Church, joined the church, and began living a renewed and joyous life. Peace had settled in my heart and I had finally found the energy of life as I received abundant grace from the messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and tried to live by God's Word. After work, though I was exhausted from work, I attended a variety of worship services and never ceased praying. Soon afterwards, God blessed me to work at a place where I didn't have to go in on Sundays and He even increased my salary, too. Furthermore, God restored my poor eyesight. On one Sunday in December 2006, I closed my eyes for prayer before the beginning of the Sunday Evening Service. Then I saw in a vision in which Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee was standing beside me and tenderly looking at me. I opened my eyes right then and said to myself, "Oh my! The Senior Pastor's here!" Then I lifted my pen to scribble something down on the paper and realized right away that I could see the letters very clearly. Hallelujah! Life has become a whole lot more convenient and joyous now that I can see fine prints and read books without my reading glasses.

Senior Deaconess Boklye Kim (Mary's Mission; Manager, Book Ministry) Meeting with God while suffering from complications of an operation After undergoing an operation to remove cancerous cells in my neck in 1974 and from excessive drug treatment afterward, I had been suffering from complications of heart disease, gastroenteric trouble, migraine, ringing in my ears, and enteritis. Then my neighbor Senior Deaconess Jungnim Lee preached the gospel to me in December 1986. "You know my brother-in-law, right? He'd been sick for a long time but now, God's healed him and he's now a pastor. Why don't you come with me to my church?" Since Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had been my neighbor, I'd often heard about him. I was curious to see how he had been and excited to meet with him. With Senior Deaconess Lee, I went to Manmin Prayer Center. At the time, Mrs. Boknim Lee was leading a meeting and at that very moment, I felt a scent of mint surrounding my body, which began to feel lighter. 'This is odd. The migraine's gone! My stomach feels good, too!' After experiencing God's wondrous power, I joined Manmin Joong-ang Church on March 1, 1987. Devoting myself to book ministry in hopes of recompensing His grace There was a Saemaul Library office, affiliated with Saemaul Headquarters, in the building in which I was working at the time. I would often go to the office and assist with the shelving and updating the inventory. "Would it be okay for me to donate some books from my church?" It was a rather difficult process to bring in religious publications but the manager gladly approved. In 1990, Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's testimonial memoir Tasting Eternal Life Before Death became available at the Saemaul Library. From that point on, I donated dozens and hundreds of church books to Saemaul Central Library, military bases, and prisons, often calling those places myself to make arrangements. As I donated these books out of my salary, there were times of financial difficulty. The joy and bliss stemming from the depths of my heart, however, could not be exchanged with anything else. Book Ministry in Mary's Mission With members of Book Ministry In 1995, I was so thankful at the launching of the Book Ministry in Mary's Mission (a mission for single women over the age of 31) with 20 fellow members. I was very delighted to know that we could distribute more books to anyone and any organization that requested them. Mary's Mission Guidance Pastor Gwi-ok Lee also promoted and supported the Book Ministry and the membership increased little by little. At 70 members today, each of us prays to God to watch over the books during the shipment so that they will not be destroyed or lost, and earnestly hope for each of the readers to meet with God and arrive at salvation. Distributing Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's books With a steadfast heart, we have been continuously distributing books to the Saemaul Library, military bases, hospitals, the National Assembly, prisons, and police headquarters. As Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's books have been translated into and published in many different languages, we have been playing a role in shipping books overseas as well. Last year, we sent 5,000 copies of Rev. Dr. Lee's books to Africa, 1,000 copies to India, and we are also preparing to ship several thousand copies to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well. During the last 12 years as President of the Book Ministry, I have been and am grateful today for the help and the support of Senior Deaconesses Eun-hee Nah, Soon-joo Ryu, Jung-mi Jang, Hye-ok Hwang and Deaconesses Soon-lye Kim, Chul-soon Park, Hyun-sook Suh, and Jung-hwan Lee. They are all the more precious to me because the Ministry is funded by the voluntary fees from each member. I have only done what I was supposed to do but God's abundant blessings have rewarded me with "The 1996 Plaque of Recognition" and a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Blessings in spirit and flesh One time, the Senior Pastor told us that there is a steady demand from pastors and ministers all over the world for The Message of the Cross, Heaven I and II, Hell, The Measure of Faith, and others. When the Book Ministry decided once again to unite our hearts, the Senior Pastor prayed for us and told us that our heavenly rewards were great. Just as he had said, today, the souls of the members of the Book Ministry are prospering and receiving the blessings of recognition and love at their workplaces. I cannot contain my excitement and glee in knowing that one of the books I help distribute and ship breathes in an eternal life to all those who are spiritually dying. I can also say with full confidence that book ministry is not a difficult task; the most important aspect is the heart with which you want to partake in it. Brother Hun-baek Choi (President, 4 Youth Mission) While I was walking along and gazing around on the morning of Sunday, January 14, 2007, a 45-person bus approached me. The moment I became aware of the sudden danger, I realized that my left leg was already being sucked under one of the bus' tires. As the 12-ton bus was crushing me, I felt as though the left side of my body below the pelvis was being obliterated to pieces. As the driver of the bus was making a right turn, he was unable to see me standing beside the bus. Receiving prayer after the accident I was afraid and confused from the shock of the accident but as I had heard countless testimonies of people who had received God's healing through the prayer of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, I wanted to receive his prayer. While I was being carried to him on a stretcher with an excruciating amount of pain, I realized I could not be placed under God's protections because of the deeds of the flesh I had committed (Galatians 5:19). I could immediately sense the Senior Pastor's compassion towards me as he earnestly prayed for me. I repented of not having been obedient to God's Word. Then a breeze of cold air swept through my left leg and the pain disappeared. I could also see with my own eyes how one of the bones that had protruded through the skin on my knee had been placed back to its normal position. It was the most wondrous and amazing thing for me to personally experience God's healing through just one prayer. I had X-rays taken and they only revealed a minor scratch with no damage to the bones whatsoever. Hallelujah! The doctor who took my X-rays and heard about the accident wouldn't believe my words; my torn pants and the tire treads on them were the only evidence of the horrific accident. 1. Tire tracks 2. We've escaped from the torment of sterility and gave birth to our first child in 6 years in marriage!

~ Deacon Min Sung (Sub-district Leader, 12-2 Parish; 1-3 Men's Mission) "You two are both normal. In your case, it would actually be pointless to even try artificial insemination or test tubes." Torment of sterility and miscarriage When we were without a child during the first three years of marriage, my wife and I went to the hospital for examinations but were told that nothing was wrong with us. At first, both of us thought, 'We're still young. It'll happen to us soon.' As time passed with no apparent solutions, however, we became worried sick. Then one day in 1999, Deaconess Junghyun Moon, who had been leading her life in Christ together with us at Manmin and suffering from the same problem as my wife, received prayer from Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and received the blessing of pregnancy. As my wife and I rejoiced with Deaconess Moon's family, we renewed our faith, prepared ourselves in prayer and fasting, and received the Senior Pastor's prayer. Soon afterwards, my wife became pregnant with our first child. Yet, the joy only lasted for six weeks as the child was miscarried. 'Why did this happen? Why did this happen to us?' My wife and I, and our parents grieved. The Senior Pastor was also heartbroken for us and asked whether or not we had kept the Lord's Day holy and given God our whole tithes. Upon hearing that, I immediately looked back at my life. Repenting of lukewarm faith Born to my father Elder Bhum-mo Sung and my mother Senior Deaconess Soon Lee, I had been a Christian from the time I was in my mother's womb. I'd always confessed my faith in God but never experienced Him and been leading a tepid life in Christ. I had also vowed to God that once my wife became pregnant with our first child, I would give him all of a month's income but because I was worried about operating and personnel expenses, I was unable to keep my promise with Him. I had also quit smoking but after my wife received the blessing of pregnancy, I found myself smoking with my friends. "Father God! This is all my fault! You are indeed alive and at work but I had distanced myself from You!" I thoroughly repented of my faith, by which I had believed the messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee on God and salvation and countless signs and wonders taking place at Manmin only as knowledge. Receiving prayer and another blessing of pregnancy in 6 years Afterwards, the direction of my life switched 180 degrees. I began praying to God and trusting in Him more earnestly, wholly keeping the Lord's Day holy, and giving Him whole tithes. Then one day in 2000, I saw the Senior Pastor in a dream in which he touched me from my head to toe and prayed for blessing. "Father God," the Senior Pastor said in a dream. "A year has passed. Blessed them now with a baby." I told my wife about the dream I had had and she also became convinced that she would soon become pregnant. About a month later, we went to the hospital and we found out the good news for which we had long been waiting. "Congratulations! You're pregnant!" I'm not sure how many people could relate to the kind of joy and excitement I felt at that moment; I felt like I was flying through the clouds! As my wife and I had already gone through a miscarriage, we never stopped praying to God to watch over the baby. We also made every effort to be faithful in our God-give duties. In September 2001, my wife gave birth to a healthy boy. Hallelujah! As I look upon my seven-year-old son Jin giving glory to God with dancing and praising he's learned at Manmin Kindergarten, I cannot help myself giving thanks and glory to God for pouring upon our family a true joy. Joy at home and teeming blessing at work God's blessings for our family did not end with Jin; He has made it possible for all of my family members to be His faithful workers in their respective capacities. My older sister Sook Sung is a missionary in the Philippines and my younger sister Deaconess Hyun Sung is a sub-district leader in the Women's Mission, while my youngest brother-in-law Deacon Song-yeol Ryu, after marrying my sister Deaconess Hee Sung and joining Manmin Joong-ang Church, is a faithful worker at Manmin TV. I'm serving as Sub-district Leader in my parish while my wife is currently an officer in the Cell Leader Association, a member of the Pearl Chorus, and a member of the Shalom Choir. Moreover, at my business at which I have been partnering with my father, we have been receiving financial blessings in abundance. My life is an epic story. Today, my earnest desire is for all my family, with whom I have been serving Father God in this world, to enter the most beautiful of all heavenly dwelling places, New Jerusalem. ~ Senior Deaconess In-soon Jang (Gwangju Manmin Church; Manager, Health Administration, Gwangju Metropolitan City Southern District) In distress from family discord Born in Young-gwang, Jeollanam-do as the eldest of a family of a boy and six girls, I had always been an exemplary student at school. During the second semester of my final year in high school, I wanted to be of help to my family and began working. The desires of my heart to support my parents and younger siblings by working and making money soon gave way to marriage. My husband's expenses on drinking with his coworkers began to drain our finances and we soon found ourselves in a huge debt. From unbearable anguish, my family as a whole even attempted group suicide and I tried to forget the pains of life by drinking hard liquor late into the night. Joining Gwangju Manmin Church, repenting of the past At the urging of my sister Deaconess Eun-sook Jang, I joined and began attending Gwangju Manmin Church that had been founded in 1995. On the way home with fellow Gwangju Manmin members after attending the 15th Anniversary Service of Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul in October 1997, I learned that they had been praying for a new sanctuary. Immediately I began participating in "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" and I received overflowing grace from the first day. I rent my heart in repentance every day as I realized that family discord had all started out with me. I sought God's forgiveness for having compared my husband to other people, having placed blame on him and not having been more caring to my children. Soon afterwards, my husband and mother-in-law began attending church with me and I began receiving blessings in unexpected areas of my life. Walking in the path of righteousness, living by God's Word I'd been a civil servant since 1983 and as I was in charge of licensing liquor stores and bars, threats and temptations of bribes from store owners always accompanied me. As I strove to walk in the path of righteousness according to the teachings of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and remained impartial in my work, store owners began to understand me without quarreling or holding any grudges against me. In 2004, my husband and I brought my mother-in-law, who was unable to move about on her own at the time, to live with us. We helped her participate in worship services every Sunday and "The Daniel Prayer Meetings" every day. Before long, God did His work and my mother-in-law threw away her crutches, was able to move about comfortably, and received the blessing of good health. As my husband took notice of things that transpired, he began striving to be of help to the church and the Senior Pastor and in January of this year, he was promoted to the position of "Chief of the District Office," the same district in which Gwangju Manmin was located. In gratitude of His grace, I am also carrying out a variety of my God-given duties and offering assistance to mission work by sowing whenever I can. Family evangelization and unusual promotion Prior to "The 2006 New York Crusade" held in July, I sowed my mission offerings and received the Senior Pastor's prayer. Because he said, "Be promoted!" after praying for me, my heart was a peace. On July 1, 2006, as I was getting ready to leave work for the day, I realized I had been promoted to the managerial position at the Health Administration of Gwangju Metropolitan City Southern District. Because of the difficulty that came with this particular position, although charged with both administrative and health-related issues, all my predecessors had been male mainly because there were more male civil servants than there were female. There were a limited number of workers in charge of health-related issues and the fact that a woman was promoted to the position itself was unprecedented. It was a sensational promotion that became well-known throughout all of the five district offices in Gwangju Metropolitan City. Today, 30 members of my extended family are leading faithful lives as workers of Our Lord at Manmin Joong-ang Church and other branch churches. I give all thanks and glory to God and would also like to express heartfelt gratitude to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for nurturing me spiritually with messages of life.

God's teeming blessings at home and in business

~ Deacon Pyong-suh Koo (Tax accountant; 7-32 Parish, 3-1 Men's Mission) Born in a small village on the outskirts of Incheon, I had been an officer at the National Tax Service for 27 years. Befriending the world; Emptiness in my life in Christ Even though I'd been a Christian for dozens of years, I only attended the Sunday morning services and spent greater chunks of Sundays and weekends playing table tennis, pool, Korean checkers, and card games. As I lived without true faith, my heart was without true peace and my life in Christ was marked with emptiness and misery. Then in April 2002, my wife Deaconess Hyun-sook Lee witnessed how her cousin Elder Hong-gi Park had received God's healing, and was led to Manmin Joong-ang Church by her sister Deaconess Jung-sook Lee. Elder Park had been suffering from a new type of illness called "public hazard disease" for seven years ,but was healed after receiving Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer. My wife had received much grace from Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's messages of life and his manifestations of God's power and made every effort to lead me to Manmin. She also said she believed I would pass the upcoming tax accountant exam if she brought a picture of mine and received the Senior Pastor's prayer. Passing tax accountant exam with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer I had been heavyhearted discouraged after failing the tax account exam seven years in a row but thought, 'Maybe¡¦just maybe¡¦' and found myself both wanting to believe my wife's words and doubting them at the same time. On the day of the exam, she received the Senior Pastor's prayer and I ended up passing the exam with flying colors. Hallelujah! With this experience, I attended a Friday All-night Service at Manmin Joong-ang Church. Watching so many brothers and sisters in Christ praising God with all their heart and listening to grace-filled special performances on stage and messages deeply touched my heart. As I subsequently attended worship services at Manmin, I became convinced that God's work was great at this church. On August 23, 2002, I formally joined Manmin Joong-ang Church and soon discovered something very critical about my life in Christ as I listened to the messages of Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. Even though I had been a Christian for many years, I realized that the kind of faith and deeds I had and had done could not warrant me eternal life in heaven. Experiencing wondrous manifestation of God's power through my mother's healing As I received abundant grace in my own life, I couldn't help spreading the gospel to my mother. She had injured her waist about 10 years earlier and the injury caused her spine to be protruded. She had not been able to get a good night's sleep from the pain and receiving acupuncture about three times a week. She joined Manmin Joong-ang Church and while receiving the Senior Pastor's "Prayer for the Sick," a bone that had literally been sticking out of her back was placed back in correctly and the pain disappeared simultaneously. I was so thankful to see my mother, whom I'd always loved so much, doing well again. As I experienced the work of God the kind of healing I had only read about in the Bible, I vowed to lead a more perfect life in Christ and began praying earnestly. There were times when my faith and deeds went separate ways but God always led me so that my faith could keep growing. Living by God's Word through trials Some time before Chuseok (Editor's Note: the harvest festival on the 15th of August by the lunar calendar) in 2002, my two brothers and I were to take our mother on a trip for her birthday and just as we had always done, my brothers suggested we leave on Saturday. I had learned and known about keeping the Sabbath holy but at my brothers' insistence, I only attended the morning service on Sunday and left for the trip. On our way, however, my mother's abdominal pain turned the trip disastrous and while on a submarine on Monday, she almost drowned. From these life-altering events, I learned how important it was to keep the Sabbath holy at all costs. On another occasion – this time on the way to a bar with a few friends – my car, which had been working just fine, broke down all of a sudden. I repented right away and quit drinking altogether. Whenever God allowed me such experiences of grace, I kept the lessons in mind. As I obeyed God's Word preached through the Senior Pastor's messages and His commands, "Do this," "Don't do that," "Keep this," and "Throw that away," I could tell my heart was beginning to change. God leads and blesses me to start up new business As I always made sure to receive the Senior Pastor's prayer before embarking on any important dealings, I always enjoyed God's overflowing blessings. When I opened a new tax account service office on January 4, 2003, God led me to an office building that was directly across the street from the North Incheon National Tax Service branch, undoubtedly the best location in the city. One time, an associate told me that participating in a local athletic competition on a Sunday would help promote my company. I paid no attention to his words but only committed everything to God, who in turn began promoting my business in His own way. As I served as full-time lecturer for the Korea Real Estate Brokers Association, there have been more than 2,000 brokers who attended my lectures in this year alone, and all advertising effects ensued naturally. As I have kept obeying God's Word with a thankful heart and confessions of faith, the number of clients has been steadily increasing and people have begun associating "Tax Accountant Pyong-suh Koo" with the phrase, "An honest person, a faithful Christian." In gratitude of God's grace, I have spread the news of the church and the Senior Pastor and He blessed me even greater, as I am now able to offer God over $2,000 per month in tithes. Receiving blessing of good health and in everything as my soul prospered When I learned one day that a Christian co-worker Deaconess E-Hee Song had been diagnosed with Hepatitis B and was unable to live a normal life, I told her about the extraordinary works of God's healing manifested through Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. Then she joined Manmin Joong-ang Church, received healing by the Senior Pastor's prayer, and brought back to God all 15 members of her family, and is leading a faithful life in Christian. This is such a blessing even for me. God also gave me the blessing of good health. I've always had stomach troubles; it was quite difficult to drink even one cup of coffee a day. Today, I can drink as many as 10 cups of coffee and feel great. My wife Deaconess Hyun-sook Lee tripped by accident a while ago and broke two of her ribs but became whole again after receiving the Senior Pastor's prayer. My son Kyung-hwe, who had dismal eyesight, can now see much better after receiving God's healing through the prayer of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. Above all, I am so grateful that all my family is marching towards New Jerusalem, each of us devotedly carrying out the duties God has given us. Blessing of Pregnancy

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, now, how can we build this Canaan sanctuary? The answer is already in the name 'Canaan Sanctuary'. The Canaan land in the Bible was the land that God had promised to Abraham and his descendants. It was a land flowing with milk and honey. The Canaan Sanctuary that we are going to build, unlike the sanctuaries we had until now, is like a resting place.   We are not just going to rest, but we will rest with more emotions and fullness of Spirit everyday seeing the construction of Grand Sanctuary in reality as we have been praying for it so much, as said that faith is the substance of things hoped for. And we can think about how the people of Israel conquered the land of Canaan in order for us to build this Canaan Sanctuary. First, the Israelites trusted their leader, Joshua completely and obeyed his word completely. I've been healed of allergic dermatitis spread across my body!

~ Deaconess Young-min Jung (6-22 Parish, 1-3 Women's Mission) Excruciating suffering from allergic dermatitis all over the body At the beginning of June 2006, I noticed a small keratin under my eye and, without giving much thought, scraped it off. Then my skin began to turn red throughout the day and the next morning, a scab had formed. When it didn't heal or go away as time passed, I went to see a dermatologist. The doctor told me it was nothing more than a simple infection and gave me an ointment for it. During the two to three days I applied the ointment, the "infection" seemed to get better but soon afterwards, the areas around the scab began to turn red again and the next day, I looked like someone with chicken pox, with red scabs forming even on the back of my neck. I went back to the hospital a few days later and was diagnosed with allergic dermatitis. I was given an injection and prescribed some medication, but the condition only worsened. Within 3-4 days, it spread to the rest of my body: white scabs formed in my scalp and the scabs spread even to the eyebrows and ears. Whenever I went outside, I put on a hat to hide my face but people who did see my face avoided me entirely, treating me as if I were carrying an epidemic. Eventually, my face swelled up like it had been burned and I was troubled both physically and mentally. Repenting of the past, receiving Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer Since getting married in 2000, I was living a life without lacking anything in an evangelized family and adoring parents-in-law. Months and years of peace and idleness, however, only hindered my spiritual growth. That is why I relied on worldly means when I was inflicted with dermatitis instead of trying to fathom the will of God in all this. After repenting for not having prayed from the depths of my heart, not having carried out my duties, not having circumcised my heart, and not having trusted in God when the illness struck me, and on Sunday, July 2, 2006, I received prayer from Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee in an earnest desire to be healed by faith. He reminded me how improper I had been before God. The Senior Pastor said, "It looks dangerous," and prayed for me earnestly. Healed as much as my heart was transformed; completely healed now Upon receiving prayer, certainty of healing and peace settled in my heart. I also attended by faith "The Seminar for District, Sub-district, and Cell Leaders" on July 3, 2006. God then worked to reduce the swelling and I came to realize the love of God through the messages of life. Afterwards, God healed me as much as my heart was transformed. I made every effort to participate in "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" every day and pray wholeheartedly even when I felt exhausted. As I also strove to more dutifully carry out my duties as cell leader, a member of the Shalom Choir, and a member of my group, scabs from my armpits, neck, and other parts of the body began to fall off one by one. With husband Deacon Kook-hyung Cho I hadn't been completely healed by the time for "The 2006 Church-wide Summer Retreat" in early August but still participated in it with a thankful heart. I always remembered to go before the Senior Pastor on Sundays and Fridays prior to worship services. By the end of August, the last remaining scab underneath my eye fell off and my skin is now as clean and clear as that of a newborn child. Hallelujah! I could not hide my astonishment once I experienced God's healing through His grace. I also realized that even though God could have easily healed me of my illness in an instant, He wanted to see a humble and beautiful heart. I thank God for His delicate love and grace, and also thank Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for his heartfelt prayer.

I've escaped from the mountains of debt with prayer and His blessings now fill my life!

Deacon Seung-hong Ji (President, Donghwa Foods; 1-4 Parish, 2-1 Men's Mission) Living in anguish with over $800,000 in debt I'd been working at a robot automation instrument company but quit in 1997. Because of the financial crisis that swept through Asia in the late 1990s, however, it was difficult to find a new job and my heart was in agony from knowing that I could not provide for my family. After hearing that the instant coffee-manufacturing industry was to be a hit, I got involved in it in 1999 with the help of an acquaintance. But the company failed in three years after a few sales employees made an error that cost the company about US $150,000. I was able to set up another factory in Hwasung, Kyongi Province, but when one of the company's main clients one-sidedly abrogated a contract, I was left with a debt of over $800,000 in debt and began my life in anguish. Beginning to be transformed at wife's prayer and deeds of love Despite all this, my wife Deaconess Jeehee Kang never became angry even though I hadn't brought her a single paycheck in a year but had actually been fasting and praying for me in tears. Since she was not able to give a Thanksgiving Offering to God, my wife would write out a certain amount on the offering envelope, vowing to give Him the offering one day, and frequently went before Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee to receive his prayer of blessings. I had been a Christian since the time I was in my mother's womb and joined Manmin in 1997 but as I had long befriended the world, I increasingly began to find my life in Christ difficult and even thought how now it'd be to live my life on my own terms. On Sunday, December 14, 2003, I was home, apparently not even bothering to get myself to go to church. That was the day when I felt a gush of a sense of emptiness and failure in life, which no one would understand without experience such sensations for himself. I didn't want to waste my life in such a manner and challenged myself to go before God and cling to Him one last time. As I attended "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" the following evening, something finally clicked in my head as I asked myself, 'What have I done for God?' and the grace of repentance began to fill my heart. I started to rend my heart in repentance, remembering the times I had befriended the world, failed to be at peace with my wife, and others. From that day onward, I was filled with zeal and thirst for life and counted down to the moment "The Daniel Prayer Meeting" would commence. As I began praying day in and day out, I no longer felt burdened about the debt and my heart was at peace even though I didn't have daily expenses to live each day. Experiencing firsthand the works of God while praying every evening There were times when I just could not get myself to pray and the only thing I wanted was rest. But I could not afford to rest as I remembered my days of anguish, my days without prayer. Sometimes, I couldn't squeeze out an ounce of energy to pray. But when I clasped my hands in prayer, knelt down, and sweated profusely in 30, 40 minutes of prayer every day, I could feel how God was filling me with the Holy Spirit. As I kept this up for about half a year, I could tell my prayer life had been empowered, my faith grown, and that the circumstances in and around my life were beginning to change. Incessant calls from creditors ended. Unexpected clients called, asking me to do business with them. Funds I needed were somehow always prepared for use. Rays of hope began to pierce my heart one by one and I could gather strength to stand up on my feet again. Then in the summer of 2004, I had a dream in which the Senior Pastor was pointing to the fruit on an oak tree and was about to tell me something unforgettable. "This is the blessing," he said. "What should you do gather fruit from this tree? Wouldn't you need to shake it? Praying is shaking this tree. The fruit will fall only when you shake the tree with everything you've got." Committing everything to God by faith and in prayer I took this dream to my heart as a sign of blessings to come and prayed even more fervently. At times I felt like I'd only prayed for 10 minutes, only to notice that an hour had gone by. There were times when my whole body became drenched in my sweat while praying for the church and the Senior Pastor. Sometimes, according to my own judgment, there seemed to be a 99% chance of success in signing an agreement with a client but then the deal would fall through. As I experienced such events time and again, I only prayed for everything to be fulfilled according to God's will and to march on by faith. I also remembered to go before Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee to seek his advice and receive his prayer of blessings. "Lead him to meet with good people and bless him as much as he has sown!" Receiving blessings at home and work as I follow God's ways Blessings came about right away. One day, a manager of a large discount retailer, which was notorious for the difficulty small business owners faced in opening their own stores, contacted me to ask if I wanted to open up my store there. It turned out that he'd heard the news about my store and asked me. In such a manner, God led me to meet with the managers or even the heads of other businesses and opened the way for me supply products to many places at once. He also blessed me in a way that the clients would pay me in cash, not on credit so that I could be of strength to the church and the Senior Pastor's ministry through "Mission Offerings" and look after those in financial troubles. My tithes began to balloon as well. As the tithes reached approximately $5,000 a month I've been able to pay back most of the debt. The biggest blessings, however, was how gladness and gratitude have filled my home and my business as my soul has prospered. I give all thanks and glory to God and I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee for his earnest prayer.

I've taken off my glasses for the first time in 20 years by the power of God!

Deaconess Eunmi Choi (Chuncheon Manmin Church) 'Wait, why do my eyes feel cool all of a sudden?!' While receiving Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer for the sick at "The 2006 Church-wide Summer Retreat" last August, I felt as though two mint candies were permeating into my eyes. As soon as I realized I'd just been healed, I screamed out "Amen!" and opened my eyes. I'd received the prayer by faith only moments before with the glasses on but now, even after taking them off, I could see objects very clearly. Hallelujah! I could take my glasses off, which I'd been wearing for 20 years, for the first time since the puberty years. My heart has become bright and I've gained confidence in life. I recently went for an eye exam and learned that my eyesight had markedly improved from 20/50 in the left eye and 20/40 in the right to 20/25 and 20/20.

Dr. Vitaliy Fishberg (MD, PhD, ND, MCAN, Integrative Medicine) I was born in Kishinev, Moldova in traditional Jewish atheistic home. My Jewish parents did not believe nor in God, nor in devil. My grandparents was former communists but in the end of life started to attend synagogue without deep understanding. Accepting Jesus Christ by the great Grace of God I clear remember the Day that changed my life. A few brothers of Gideon's International Institute once visited our medical school. They were distributing beautiful leather Bible in Russian. I had always loved beautiful books. So when I saw beautiful leather Bible, I started to run to them and almost scared them when I took, I believe 2 or 3 right from their hands. When I came home that evening I opened my desired book and started to read. Amazingly for me I could not understand even one word! Pride started to rise in me: 'you are the best student, future professor and Nobel Prize winner and not able to read even a little book!' I started to push harder bur still was not able to understand anything. This fight lasted for me I believe 2 hours. Finally I cried with loud voice in my heart: "God, if You exist, help me to understand Your book!" Immediately, air in the room started to vibrate and Power from Above felt upon me. I was filled with amazing peace and love. I got really scared from that condition because I understood that it has connections with the book. I immediately put it in the most far book shelf but it was already too late. I could not sleep, did not eat anything and almost did not speak for two and half a days. After this, God's Presence was lifted from me. I did not tell to anybody about this encounter but 7 days later my best friend Alex (who secretly prayed for me for many months) invited me to his church. In this church I was amazed that I found Presence which was similar of That which felt upon me. So I liked it and decided to stay there. When I moved to USA I decided to continue my medical education. So I did doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, PHD in Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Medicine, Doctorate in Alternative medicine, Doctorate in Orthomolecular Medicine and honorary Doctorate in Natural Health Science. Integrative Medicine is one of the most famous fields in today's American medicine but the most important for me was that it does not bring any harm to the patients. When I came to new York after my education very soon I became really famous in Russian community and many newspapers publish my articles every week. Meeting Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee at the 2006 New York Crusade Evangelical House of Prayer was only one Russian church that participated in New York crusade. One evening Bro Johnny Kim came with Dr. Morgulis and pastor Bazilev to our church service. My pastor, Rev. Gennadiy Zavaliy is sensitive to the Spirit. He felt in the room "special healing anointing" and asked Director Kim to pray for healing. When he prayed I was amazed with God's Love and Presence which surrounded him in that evening. I did not know who he is and who he represents in that time because I never heard before about Dr. Jaerock Lee and Manmin.  I believe brother Johnny Kim also found something interesting in me because he asked my senior pastor to take me to business dinner with him, brother Woong Chi and Dr. Morgulis and pastor Bazilev. I understood that finally God gave me connection with the church and with the minister who clear understand Spiritual Realm and not afraid of Angelic manifestations, visions, dreams, etc. Soon, Brother Johnny Kim returned to Korea but we still was staying in touch by the e-mails. In two weeks he returned with Rev. Dr. Lee and big Korean crusade team. Because of this favor from God I was able to receive prayer for my handkerchief and for my spiritual eyes from the Shepherd during the special dinner for the crusade helpers right after the crusade on Sunday evening. During the crusade I helped to WCDN international team with the cases of healing. When I returned home I prayed for my mother with a handkerchief and her injured elbow received healing after almost 13 years of ineffective treatments. It really impressed me and increased faith in me. On the crusade I saw many different powerful visions of God's Glory. But after the prayer of the Shepherd I really started to see things! I am happy because I clear know that Lord Jesus is coming back very soon and we have to fully focus all our energy and efforts to fulfill His Will and to work for His end-time perfect Plan. I am happy because I found that His earlier prophecies to me about the book and about the spiritual father and Shepherd started to be fulfilled. When I got saved, very soon Father told me about two things. First, that I will glorify Him through writing a medical book for Him. This is a main purpose for my life on the Earth. Second, that in one day he will send me a spiritual father and mentor who will bring me successfully as a Christ disciple and will make my spiritual life really effective for God. I did not know in that time that both Words are connected together and also that Door could be open only when I will reach the age of Christ - in January I will be 33!

Han-im Kim (Age 79) does not lose her smile like a little girl even at the old age. She says her secret of happiness is transcribing the Bible. "I just began it to study the Bible. But it's so fun that I cannot stop." By transcribing the Bible, she can understand the word of God and her back that had been bent for 20 years was straightened. Also, when she ate, she used to have stuffy and suffocating sensation, but even that symptom completely disappeared. The Bible she has transcribed for 3 years mount up to scores of college notebooks. It wasn't certainly easy to write each letter of the Bible putting on the thick reading glass, but she says she cannot stop it because it's the grace of God she has received. Through her, we find another piece of happiness of a Christian that the world does not know.
